Fool you shouldn't stare into these eyes of fire
you're going to regret this little fight

It had been raining all day.

Sunwing had been unlucky and placed on a hunting patrol in the morning. She was soaked. The rain had finally begun to die down half way through. She missed the warm weather. Newleaf was almost here. Hopefully prey would be plentiful and the forests return to bloom quickly. They were more fun to burn like that anyway.

She lashed her tail as she put her catch on the pile. It wasn't much, but it would feed someone. Maybe one of the queens or elders would enjoy it. She flicked an ear. Maybe it would be something Rosebounce would be happy to eat. 

Sunwing remembered fretting over her younger sister. She essentially raised Rosebounce while being an apprentice. It wasn't an easy task, but it was certainly rewarding. She often still found herself wondering what Rosebounce had gotten herself into, or subconciously taking an extra piece of prey off the pile for her.

Sunlight shown through the pines, a rare sight during the rainy times. The elders were out sunning themselves now that the rain had broke. Sunwing took the opporunity to lay down in a patch of the warm sun, hoping it would dry off her fur quicker. She stretched herself up, drinking up the sunlight.
