Welcome to Song of the Warriors! We are a rather Warriors inspired roleplay that is set in an alternate universe.
Before you get started, you must read through the rules. Anyone caught breaking any of the following rules will be punished. Depending on the severity of the issue, you may even get banned for not following them.
-~=+General Rules+=~-
1. Treat others with respect and don't be Rude. A basic rule.
2. Be appropriate, Proboards is a PG-13 Hosting service requiring members to be 13 years or older. We expect you to behave maturely and we ask you to keep immaturity to a minimum. We also ask to keep everything NSFW out of our chats.
3. Advertisements for different sites/forums (JCINK and Proboards) are only allowed to be posted in the Advertisement board, posting them anywhere else would result in a warning, repeated violations could lead to a temporary or permanent ban. This applies to the shoutbox and the discord server unless it is under the Advertisement channel.
4. One account per person. There is no limit to your amount of characters, but we ask you to keep only one account.
5. We expect all members to have a decent level of grammar and writing skills. We're at an intermediate level here, but people of all levels are allowed. We ask that you keep replies like "ravenstar slapped lynxstar laughed "hahaha yah u got rekt SON" out of roleplay. Please do not use text speak in roleplay, and limit the use of acronyms. Outside of roleplay, these rules aren't as strict, but we ask you to keep the decency to have basic grammar while having conversations with others to avoid confusion.
6. Drama. Keep petty squabbles and drama out of the boards, please. We're not here to witness a soap opera in the General chat, we're here to have fun. If you have a problem with someone and they aren't breaking a rule, just ignore them.
-~=+Character Rules+=~-
1. Leaders will choose your character's warrior name if they are an apprentice or kit. This does not apply to warriors made via an application. You may choose your apprentice's warrior name through an item in the shop.
2. We only accept realistic eye and fur colors. Cats whose coats are not a majority of white typically cannot have blue eyes (Blue eyes for non white cats can be purchased in the store); red cats must be some form of tabby; male tortoiseshells and calicoes will be contest prizes and rare litter rolls. Chimeras are an exclusive store item.
3. Kittens under the age of 6 moons cannot be left on their own for more than a few hours.
4. Characters may have up to two litters. A third may be purchased using on-site currency. This includes litters from a character's history. Miscarried litters are exempt. This rule applies to both female AND male characters.
5. There is a list of approved prefixes and suffixes. You may not use anything but these prefixes and suffixes. Suggestions are taken into account. Some name parts can be used as both prefixes and suffixes (for example, there could be a Briarpelt and a Frostbriar). There can be multiple characters in the same Clan with the same prefix (ie, Thunderclan can have a Squirreltail and a Squirrelhop). Prefixes and suffixes are not limited to the sex of the character, we don't recommend naming a tom Vixenkit though. (Vixen = Female Fox and that would just be awkward)
6. Characters cannot be purebred as this is located in the wild and away from human civilization. Unless you have an elaborate story on why and how a kittypet or purebred cat wondered away this far that is. You can have characters that look like a certain breed and use images of that breed for your application, but they cannot be listed as said breed.
7. Characters may have alternate gender identities. This includes Non-binary, demi-boy/girl, genderqueer, transgender, etc. Please include pronouns in their application if they are non-conforming.
-~=+Roleplay Rules+=~-
1. Don't be a Mary/Gary Sue. This also includes powerplaying and godmodding. Don't do it, please.
2. Characters cannot harm themselves intentionally nor can they commit suicide. If a character needs to hurt themselves to escape and survive, such as biting off their foot to get out of a metal trap, then that is acceptable.
3. Inappropriate relationships are forbidden.
-Kits and Apprentices cannot take mates.
-Incestuous characters. This includes foster siblings.
4. Sexual content should be kept off the site. Innuendos and mild jokes are okay so long as the person you make them to are fine with it.
5. Major injuries, illness, death and murder are all allowed to be used as you wish. Please notify staff beforehand. However, do notify your clan leaders and representative, as different cats would deal with the situation differently, and these major events don't just disappear. Your clan's leader or representative can decide with how to deal with the situation.
6. Keep your posts in roleplay. Don't go completely ooc and have a conversation with the person instead of roleplaying. You may post any comments in a roleplay reply using () or any other way to show that it is not apart of the roleplay. You can opt for a PM or chat with them in the chatbox or on Discord instead.
7. Do not make the font size smaller or change the text color to an absurd bright shade in any of your posts. This could make your posts very hard to read for some people, especially with poor eyesight.
-~=+Chat Rules+=~-
The below rules apply to both the discord server and the Shoutbox.
1. Do not ask when an application will be reviewed. We'll get to it as soon as we have the time and energy, we promise. Sometimes we don't notice or we need to chat for a little while to relax before we deal with character apps. If it's your first character, then we'll get to it as soon as we see it because you probably want to hop into the roleplay asap; after that, we aren't as likely to drop what we're doing to check the app because you have other characters available to play.
2. We ask that you that you don't discuss religion or politics in the chat due to it being controversial topics. Unless you're discussing clan politics and Starclan, that's certainly fine!
3. No member-modding. If a staff member is actively answering someone's questions, don't jump in and try to help, because you'll most likely just confuse everyone. We've run forums before and we've seen this scenario play out all too often: A guest asks a question, a nice member unintentionally gives the wrong answer, a staff member corrects them, and the guest is confused. If there is a staff member online but they have not responded, please tag them in the chatbox. If there are no staff members around, feel free to be as helpful as you can.
Further along the line, it is the staff team's job to moderate and enforce rules: unless a staff member is not present, please do not correct others' behaviour.
4. Please refrain from having "I want [kit] from [litter]" discussions. It puts pressure on the parents' roleplayers not to pick [kit] because someone else wants it and they don't want to make that person feel bad. In addition, it clogs up the chat and excludes other members from the conversation. We expect members not to push or pressure one another.
5. No explicit conversation topics in the chat. We are a 13+ age group site and conversations should be inclusive and welcoming to all age groups that visit the site. Certain topics may make others feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed and we want to keep this site a friendly place for ALL our members. Not only that but you put our site at risk for termination due to Proboards own rules of conduct. Explicit content includes but is not limited to; heavily graphic information of any kind, inappropriate photos, and controversial topics. If you have to ask if something is inappropriate, then you should assume it is and not bring it up. We will not tolerate repeat offenders and you will be banned from our chatbox if your behaviour continues after receiving one warning.
