The day had been quite calm, the idea of getting a day off for Mistbrook seemed rare as of late, taking on the past medicine cat duties within days after the past medicine cat had passed away merely days after the last gathering and she had taken on the job quickly. A sigh left the molly as she finally had a break, already having had collected the herbs she needed for a few moons and being so bored out of her mind she even organized all her herbs in her den into piles and organized them by her knowledge on what each did and the cobwebs and sticks and other items used to help a feline had their own section, she felt far too organized and it was not even intentional. Her mind was now almost blank, she was just repeating the herbs in her head and the names of the cats within her clan as she blew a few bird feathers she found earlier around in her front paws while she continued to speak to herself in a quiet tone the names. "Sunwing..quietstorm..leopardfang...sparkflower..lightningbird..silentsmoke..crowleap.." her words were mumbles as she continued to go on and on with the list, this was one of the moments the Silvery gray and white pelted molly wanted company in her den although most never came in which was the unfortunate truth, it was becoming harder for her to even stay in her den or go on a simple walk without having another duty to do upon returning, having to drop all she was doing before.
A huff left Mistbrook as she pawed the feathers away and sat up in her bedding, stretching her paws out as she licked her fur for a brief moment before she fully got up and decided to stare at her herbs out of more boredom, maybe she would go on a walk around the territory later on or if someone accompanied her.. a dream of hers almost, if only a feline would approach her out of pure friendship and not to need her to check on something. Her blue-gray eyes focused on her herbs and plants as she pointed them out with her paws and counted what she had of each with her back turned to the entrance of her den.

He looked nothing like his dads. Yet, it never really bothered the little flame point- he loved his family, regardless of how imperfect it might appear. Having Crowleap as deputy was a nice thing to boast about, but it meant that his father was often busy with clan-related duties. Silentsmoke, on the other hand, was a very attentive father. He spent a lot of time with Sneezekit and his sisters, and made sure they had the opportunity to practice with their fire elements. Aunt Quietstorm, from what he had heard, was pretty out of control. Silentsmoke didn't want his kits to turn out like their aunt. NOBODY in ShadowClan wanted them to turn out like Quietstorm- the last thing they needed was yet another conflict with ThunderClan from a nutcase burning down the forest with their girlfriend. Yet today, Silentsmoke was busy having an outing with Crowleap, a date of sorts. Sneezekit understood that dad Silentsmoke wasn't always one for "public emotions", so he preferred to spend time with Crowleap in privacy, away from the prying eyes of his clanmates. Starclan forbid he seem lovable. So, he was left to entertain himself for the afternoon, which wasn't particularly difficult for Sneezekit. He was a talented converastionalist and rather smooth-of-tongue for a kitten. Being that he was nearing apprentice age, he was no longer moved by the traditional kit games. He preferred exploring camp, or learning new battle moves from one of his fathers. Today, however, Sneezekit had a bit of a sweet tooth. He didn't spend much time around the medicine cat den due to the strong smells, but maybe...just maybe, there was something sweet within their. He'd been told that juniper berries were good. The red-and-white kit trotted into the den, mildly overwhelmed by the array of smells. His blue eyes immediately flickered over to the form of the new medicine cat, since their previous had passed. What was her name again? Mistbrook? "Miss Mistbrook?" The fluffy-coated kitten peeped, sitting before her politely. "If it wouldn't be much of a bother, I'm dying for something tasty. Could you...spare a juniper berry from your stores, perhaps?"

Staying in her position, Mistbrook didn't say much of anything while her gaze focused on her counting as she didn't say much of anything. the idea that she was very organized seemed like a problem to most felines but in her eyes it was just needed so she could get to what she needs when a feline came in injured or ill or just wanting something to snack on, which often was the kittens amongst the clan, but even the kittens tended to dwindle her stash of lamb's ear and Juniper berries, along with other things like that... but juniper berries was a hotspot or well, a favorite amongst the kittens so Mistbrook had learned to get a far bigger stash of them and have them in their own corner on a few leaves. as she continued to count, her ears twitched getting the faint scent of a kitten walking near her den and Mistbrook turned her head over her shoulder to see a kitten walking inside the den and stopping in front of where she was, making the Medicine cat blink a few times with her blue-gray gaze before she finally came back to reality and smiled softly at the kitten before her. She then stopped looking over her shoulder and stood up on her paws, turning her silhouette in the direction of the kitten as she purred in response and nodded her head, "Juniper berries you say? Hm.. I guess i could spare you one~ although don't go crazy on these, I don't need your parents to be upset. do you want me to get some out for your siblings also young one? or would you rather keep it to yourself and have them come here themselves?" A smile stayed on the medicine cats expression as she giggled softly before padding towards where her stash of Juniper berries were and grabbed one of the leaves with her maw, gently pulling the leaf closer to where the kitten was before she stopped a few feet away from him and used her nose to nudged out one of the berries for the kitten and sat down by her leaf.
She loved watching the kittens, although it was quite hard to remember all the names.. unfortunately she felt clueless on this young ones name which was a disappointment for her, having been use to hearing all the names of the kittens as they were born. Although this was of no matter as Mistbrook felt happy that the kitten before her remembered her name, She knew not many of her clanmates were use to seeing her here instead of featherlight, the idea was hard to take in still for her, trying to be up to the past medicine cats reputation, almost burdening for her to carry on her shoulders but the molly showed nothing of it as she kept a smile and remembered this young one was almost to apprentice age and she purred deciding to speak, "Maybe next time I could take you out to where I find these berries perhaps, maybe then you can find them yourself~ but you still cannot eat many of these in one sitting, It could make you have a stomach ache. you're almost an apprentice yes? is there a certain warrior or cat amongst our clan you wish to have as your mentor young one? you don't have to tell me if it's a secret." a small laugh left mistbrook as she watched the kitten with adoration and calmness almost, it was hard for any feline to get scared of her or find mistbrook intimidating.. unless she was mad that is, although that was rare for any feline to see which the molly was thankful for, she often lost control when her anger boiled over, remembering a time when she had almost wrapped vines around a cats throat and their paws to keep them still.. the idea made mistbrook sigh and brush it off, taking on the medicine cat role kept her calmness in check most of the time, only dealing with stress far mroe often than anger.

The flame pointed kitten hesitated, thinking back to his littermates and what their preferences might be. Sneezekit wasn't certain if his sisters were keen on sweet tasting treats- he kind of thought of them as the sort to be more interested in spicy things. Nonetheless, it would be rude of him to assume that his sisters wouldn't want anything. "I suppose Smokekit and Specklekit might desire some juniper berries- being their brother, I should look out for their best interests." He loved his family, no matter how imperfect it might seem. While they wouldn't be little forever, Sneezekit wanted to look after his sisters, even when they were warriors. Besides, hiding things never worked out for most. While Sneezekit was exceptionally confidential and fine at keeping his own secrets, there was already another cat involved. If he didn't break the truth to his sisters and they found out, he'd definitely be in for it. Besides, he liked being honest about certain things. He liked to be a good cat, and he liked to make his fathers proud. He pricked his small, triangular ears when the medicine cat pushed the berry forward. "Thank you, miss." Sneezekit quickly remembered his manners, offering her a dip of his head before leaning over to happily gobble down the berry. He marveled at the sweet taste, chewing the berry slowly to enjoy the flavor before he swallowed it. Ah, now his craving was satisfied. The kitten leaned back on his haunches, his eyes trained on Mistbrook as she spoke of adventure and future apprentice training. He hummed for a moment, thinking. "I don't think it would be proper of me to leave camp prior to my graduation to apprenticeship. I'm sure father Crowleap wouldn't mind, but father Silentsmoke...well, he's awfully protective of me and my littermates. He'd definitely chew you out if he learned of me leaving camp." The kitten laughed nervously at the thought. While he loved both of his fathers dearly, it was no secret that Silentsmoke was quick to over-react with some situations. Crowleap was a little more relaxed with his parenting, which was a breath of fresh air sometimes. Did he really have a mentor preference? Sneezekit wasn't certain- of course, he'd love to be mentored by either of his fathers. He definitely preferred to be a warrior as well. While what Mistbrook did seemed cool, he'd surely...well, overdose on juniper berries. "It's no secret that I'm biased towards either of my fathers. But, I'd really be happy with any good mentor. Even auntie Quietstorm, despite her tendency to be...well, wild."
