Eaglepaw had picked her way over the stepping stones, hanging back from the slowly growing main group of apprentices. She was keeping an eye on her siblings, but other than them and Newtpaw, she didn't actually recognize anyone in particular. While she would've preferred to sit by the stepping stones, she did understand that the purpose of this whole thing was to actually talk with the other apprentices instead of sitting at the edge of the meeting and being a glorified rock. Still, if she was going to make conversation, she would at least choose who to talk with.
Scanning the clearing again. she immediately crossed out the possibility of jumping into the main group, too many cats, not enough of a view. Plus, Maplepaw already seemed to be chatting up a storm there. She did notice one cat who was sitting out a bit, not really talking either. So she slowly made her way over to the spotted cat, soon noticing he was a ShadowClan cat. That made Eaglepaw pause for a second, but she was already clearly approaching, no point in turning back.
she sat down and thought for a second before talking. "Hello." She started, and then had to grapple with the horrific and unbelievable realization that conversations aren't just one word. "I don't believe I know you?" she asked politely. What else could be said? She didn't know over half of the cats here, no better time than the present to change that.
