Fool you shouldn't stare into these eyes of fire
you're going to regret this little fight ####  Sunwing had requested that Lightningbird and Quietstorm meet with her in the Warriors' Den earlier in the morning. She felt like she had ants biting her paws as she waited for them to join her. The golden molly just could not sit still.
She began to pace the den restlessly, her patience wearing thin. The den was empty, luckily, which meant she wasn't disturbing someone's nap. And it made the perfect opportunity to finally speak to Lightningbird with her...partner.
Whether or not either of them would fully admit to how they felt, despite literally preparing to have a litter of kittens, would be anyone's guess. ShadowClan's dynamic duo, the pair of trigger-happy arsonists that both hated ThunderClan a little too much. Nightstar thought that putting the pair on opposite schedules would keep them apart and away from their typical mischief. Ha! Wait until she had to deal with them and their problem children.
Sunwing watched as they finally started to arrive. "Sheesh, it's quite rude to keep a lady waiting. I had half a mind to think you weren't coming." You'll watch me ignite! |

She had been out and about within the shadowy depths of their territory, stretching her legs and quite possibly plotting. Silentsmoke was getting on her nerves, and she was eager to move onto greater things. She and Sunwing enjoyed their mischievous games, no matter how much the clans leadership attempted to drive them apart. However, it was time that they expand their horizons, and looks towards bringing others into their little games. So, what better to bring in than a litter of kittens? Sunwing and Quietstorm obviously couldn't bring them in on their own. Quietstorm had her adopted nieces and nephew, of course, but Silentstorm was a bore and a buzzkill. StarClan forbid she ever try to do anything fun with the little buggars. Confidently, the small black molly pushed her way into the empty den, stretching out a single hind leg as she did so. The comment her dearest partner-in-crime made caused the young warrior to twitch her whiskers in amusement. "You? A lady? We both know that ain't true."Perking her ears, she angled her attention towards Lightningbird. She was glad he was considering helping the pair in their...erm, situation. Lightningbird had just finished up with his dawn patrol, placing a blackbird on the prey-pile. The ginger tom stopped to take a moment to himself, grooming his fur quickly, having ruffled it during the day. He'd felt as though he was missing something, there was something that he should be doing. What was it again...?
Ah, right. He was meant to meet with Sunwing and Quietstorm. The idea of him possibly helping the pair conceive had been mentioned briefly at some point. Lightningbird assumed that this would be the official decision day.
The tabby padded into the den, dipping his head to the mollies. He gave an awkward smile as they spoke. "Now now, be nice. Nightstar will hear you if you two get started now. Last I checked, you were still supposed to be on opposite patrols." He flicked his tail. "Not that I would tell. Not my problem, that's on her."
"Would I be wrong to assume that you two have decided on kits?" He asked. Lightningbird wasn't opposed to the idea of being their donor. His fathers were in the same situation moons ago, after all. He would not be here today were it not for his surrogate mother. "I'm fine with assisting if you've settled on me." word count, notes, n stuff

you're going to regret this little fight #### Sunwing narrowed her eyes and glared at Quietsmoke's comment. "Ha ha. Very funny." She rolled her eyes. "I do happen to know a burr bush that's looking for a new home. Your pelt would do just lovely." She lashed her tail.
The golden molly turned her attention to Lightningbird as he spoke.She chose to ignore his reminder of their current predicament. Nightstar could kiss her ass. What would she do if she caught them violating their probation? Demote them to kits?
She nodded when he confirmed that he'd be willing to father their litter. A sense of relief flooded over her. Sunwing wasn't even sure who else would be willing to do so, considering the pair's reputation. It would have been awkward to have to ask around. "Oh good, that's what we were gonna ask, yeah. Thanks a lot, Lightningbird. I know its a big ask." You'll watch me ignite! |

A cheeky smile was flashing in the direction of her golden-pelted partner. "You know you'd have to catch me first." Quietstorm commented with a sniff before redirecting her attention to Lightningbird. It felt like a precarious situation at first, but slowly, their plans were coming to fruition. Nightstar, admittedly, was something that might pose a threat to their plans. Naturally the leader had no jurisdiction when it came to denying them a family of their own, but given the reputation of Sunwing and Quietstorm... ...She'd probably try if she caught wind of their plans. Starclan knew that Silentsmoke would try to stop her, anyways. He'd be up in arms over the fact that they were going to have kits, despite the fact that he had adopted his own. The audacity of him potentially calling her a bad mother... "My brother has that deputy wrapped around his little paw. Crowleap can't tell heads from tails when Silentsmoke is around. Only thing my brother's useful for, anyhow." Quietstorm temporarily leaned to the side as she spoke, relentlessly scratching at an itch behind her ear. She gave a vigorous nod when Lightningbird reaffirmed their plans. "Yes- we absolutely want to go through with this. We'll make terrific moms!" The little black molly proclaimed adamantly, confident in whatever secret maternal skills she and Sunwing might share. Of course, now that they had selected their donor, it was down to deciding which of the two would be residing in the nursery while their kittens cooked. It seemed they had settled on a decision. "I think we agreed that I'll be the one carrying the kits. We can't risk having Sunwing tied down to the nursery- who else will keep ShadowClan on its toes?"Thorne Jinx |
