This is the official thread for Scorchsun & Mossleap vs their wolf. Only the respective roleplayers & staff can reply to this thread. The wolf does not care for turn-based combat rolls. It may attack between turns, or wait until after both cats have struck. The wolf will not attack until at least one roleplayer has responded. Its target will be selected via dice roll. Please wait until your attack has been rolled before posting a second attack. This is a team battle, please do not post more than twice without your partner's response. The wolves are significantly stronger than your warriors, they have more hp and their attacks have a higher damage cap. If you are uncertain as to how combat works, feel free to reference any previous battles that have taken place. Hare Plains & Splash Cove should still have their previous battle threads available for viewing. This event's battle managers are Jinx, Blaze and Thorne. There were only two things in life that Mossleap had miraculously patient enough to wait for: Her rematch with the wolves, and the ultimate demise of her beloved father. With her luck, hopefully both would happen today. Two less things for her to have to worry about. But whatever would she do with both of those moments out of the way...? Ah, well, she'd figure that out later. Right now, she had one of the biggest, ugliest wolves she'd ever seen stand before her. Her battle companion today seemed to be Scorchsun, as he was the closest warrior to her. She remembered him, they were on the border patrol the other day.
"All right, old man, let's kick some ass, eh?" She purred, lashing her tail as she unsheathed her claws. "Finally time to settle the score, ugly." She growled as she prepared her attack. Mossleap prepared her icicle, then launched it towards the wolf, hoping to land the first blow of the battle.

He was about to keep cleaning his pelt after a small meeting, how did this happen? He was more afraid then he had ever been in his entire life, in front of this beast. He wasnt much of help but he could do something for sure. He could try to make sure the wolf didnt get too close to Mossleap because she would do the main attacking. That wolf was terrifying as hell. Scorchsun had a moment of wondering what he could do and then he decided what was the easiest and best thing to do.
"I think im ready and theres no turning back. And im not that old." He said not as terrified. He prepared to do what he was supossed to and tried blowing dust in the wolfs eyes, it was not that useful but god he wanted to try his best.

The wolf watches as Mossleap prepares to make the first move. Hoping to prevent her, it charges forward to strike. Scorchsun's attack intercepts it, throwing sand into it's eyes.
The wolf's accuracy is decreased temporarily!
Mossleap rolls a 70 in accuracy and a 10 in damage. Her attack hits!
Scorchsun rolls a 60 in accuracy and a 1 in damage. His attack hits!
Mossleap: 100/100HP
Scorchsun: 100/100HP
Wolf: 189/200HP
The wolf is distracted as it struggles to blink away the sand from it's eyes.

Scorchsun held his breath as the wolf tried to charge at Mossleap, But was glad to see that his attack had worked and now felt...less terrified that they would die? He had no idea, actually, He had ideas of him getting crushed in the wolfs jaws. His heart was pounding as he glazed at Mossleap. He wasnt sure if he would survive this battle, but he would try. He had to.
"Stay alright as long as ya can," He shouted towards Mossleap. "And you stinky bastard! You´ll regret ever coming here!" He knew he couldnt do that much, but he would try doing his best. He prepared the wind and attacked.

Mossleap was already preparing another spear as her first made contact with the wolf, wounding the canine. She grinned as Scorchsun spoke, sending a cocky glance over to her senior. "Oh, I'll stay more than alright." She said, launching her next icicle towards the wolf. "These mutts have no idea what's coming for them, thinking they can just waltz into our camp." She said, lashing her tail.

Mossleap purred in delight as Scorchsun's attack made contact with the wolf, stunning their opponent. "Nice shot! Makes for easy target practice." She said, preparing her next icicle. "We'll have it running for the mountains in no time at this rate. Lets make sure it learns to never mess with us again, yeah?" Mossleap nodded, launching the icicle towards the wolf as she had done with the other two.

Scorchsun felt relieve as Mossleap succeeded in her attack. He was so exited, he hadnt fought in a long time, but still..he could feel himself being crushed in the wolfs jaws just by looking at the beast. He took a deep breath, glancing towards Mossleap, she was the one doing all the real attacking, but he helped, or so he hoped.
"Alright, try not to get hit, ill make sure this..fat dog gets what they deserve soon." He said, knowing that he wouldnt do any attacking this time, but he believed Mossleap could handle one moment without him distracting the wolf. "This wolf wont just run off to the mountains, it will run behind them and never come out from its burrow." He smirked, looking at the wolfs face, ready to jump away.

Mossleap cursed under her breath as she watched the ice fly past the wolf. As her eyes were locked onto her missed attack, the wolf had charged towards her, knocking the young warrior off her paws. "Ack-Hell!" She hissed. The tortoiseshell stood up, shaking the dirt out of her pelt. She barred her teeth as she locked eyes with the canine. "Sorry about that, Scorchsun. Bastard caught me off guard, that's all. I'll make it pay. Keep doing what you're doing."
She felt the dirt beneath her paws, feeling the moisture in the ground. Good, it didn't dry up. It was a shame Scorchsun wasn't a water elemental, things would have been so much easier. If she had a nice puddle to work with, she could turn their whole battlefield into an ice patch. Where were her siblings when she needed them?
Oh well. Scorchsun seemed to be pulling his weight and the cocky molly was more than confident in her abilities, for better or worse. Her last encounter unfortunately did not seem to have humbled her.
"Alright, big guy, let's dance." She froze a line of earth before her, frosting over it. "Watch your step Scorchsun!"

Scorchsun gasped as Mossleap got hit by the charging wolf. He dug his claws into the earth, why right the moment he didn't focus on her staying safe, she got herself hurt? Or well, that didn't look so hurt but still. He had to admit that his confidence had went from 100 to 0 real fast.Scorchsun took a deep breath and spoke up. "You really couldn't last five seconds could you. Welp this mamma's..pup will get what they deserve."
Why didn't he try keeping the wolf away from Mossleap again? Why did he have to "be safe than sorry" in case of a missed attack? It was too late to fix that now. Was there any other way he could help his fighting partner? What was there for him to do? Right, help, help was there anything else he thought about? Why the hell would he only think about helping? No, this was his time to think what was best for him, right?
Scorchsun could feel the ice forming slowly under his paws, He quickly removed his claws from the dirt so they wouldn't freeze stuck. "Let's hope the wolf will feel it too." He said turning his gaze back to the dangerous predator Infront of him. He knew what he had to do, he just wasn't strong enough to do it. So, he let plan B roll in.
Scorchsun uses Back off once again.

Mossleap's hackles rose as she heard Scorchsun's remark. "Oh, piss off!" She growled. "I'm not a kit anymore, I can handle myself." Mossleap turned her head towards the wolf, watching as it landed a blow on her Clanmate. "Hey ugly! I wasn't done with you!"
Keeping a safe distance, Mossleap threw another icicle at the canine.

"But-" Scorchsun started to explain himself but was cut off by the wolfs ugly face. "Oh fuck!"
He took a deep breath, or a thousand of them.
"Alright, i understand, it's not that easy to dodge this fuckers' attacks." He said preparing his next attack. He underestimated wolfs. He glanced at his clanmate who was attacking the wolf again. He took the wind by his side and prepared himself for another attack.
