This is the official thread for Fernwhisker & Sorrelblaze vs their wolf. Only the respective roleplayers & staff can reply to this thread. The wolf does not care for turn-based combat rolls. It may attack between turns, or wait until after both cats have struck. The wolf will not attack until at least one roleplayer has responded. Its target will be selected via dice roll. Please wait until your attack has been rolled before posting a second attack. This is a team battle, please do not post more than twice without your partner's response. The wolves are significantly stronger than your warriors, they have more hp and their attacks have a higher damage cap. If you are uncertain as to how combat works, feel free to reference any previous battles that have taken place. Hare Plains & Splash Cove should still have their previous battle threads available for viewing. This event's battle managers are Jinx, Blaze and Thorne. The awaited hour had finally fallen upon them. Fernwhisker had hoped that the wolves would have simply gotten bored with them and move on elsewhere. They seemed to have other plans. Their eyes scanned the camp as they searched for someone who was also alone or needed an extra pair of paws. Fernwhisker's brothers seemed to be handling themselves fine...who else? Their eyes lit up as they found Sorrelblaze in the crowd, quickly rushing over to their friend's side. "Lovely weather we're having, huh?" They laughed nervously as a wolf approached.
Fernwhisker took a few steps back and took a breath. "Keep it busy for me, yeah? I'm gonna charge up to hit it harder." They nodded.

Her heart was pounding, it felt like it was in her throat. The moment Stormstar revealed that they were going to war with the wolves, Sorrelblaze felt the entire world grow still. It was because of them that Snakepad was dead. Her adopted father the only family she'd known for so long, so gruesomely taken to her by those fox-faces. She'd make them pay, she'd make them pay in full.
She didn't know how to describe how she felt as the wolves hared into camp, the best word she could think of was manic. She felt so desperate to murder them, to avenge her father, to bathe herself in the blood of her father's murderers. Her fur bristled, her ears buzzed, and her whiskers quivered as camp was engulfed in a sea of dog. She didn't know which one to choose- there were so many that she wanted to tear apart.
Sorrelblaze was grateful to feel Fernwhisker rush to her side. Admittedly, she could feel her heart pounding even harder when she sent them a glance. "Yes- cloudy with a chance of doom. My favorite." She huffed to them with a small smirk before her attention was stolen away by an approaching wolf. Ah- so this fool had chosen for her.
...every dog had its day.
"It'd be my pleasure." Sorrelblaze raised her chin before turning back to the wolf with a hiss. "Over here, you ugly fuckface!" The warrior spat while making the earth growl as she used Erupt to give her companion some distance.

Fernwhisker held their power stance, feeling the energy from the air being absorbed into themself. They kept their eyes on the battle, watching as Sorrelblaze successfully pushed the wolf away. It didn't seem to have been hurt too much from the attack, but it continued to buy them time. The longer they could pull extra energy for their attack, the better both of their chances of victory would be. The pair were both still younger warriors. If even Heatherstar had fallen against the wolves, they were truly formidable foes. They didn't want any harm to come to Sorrelblaze, no matter the cost. If they had to stop charging to assist, they'd do so in a heartbeat.
But for now, Fernwhisker continued to charge up more energy. They just hoped that Sorrelblaze would be fast enough to avoid any attacks.

"Foxdung." It was bad to miss a move- she'd take any opportunity to damage that wolf for what they'd done to Snakepad, but...now this was Fernwhisker on the line. She had to let them have time to charge up, they were relying on her to do her part. She...didn't want to mess up. Missing her attack in front of Fernwhisker caused Sorrelblaze's stomach to twist itself in knots, invoking a strange sensation she hadn't quite felt before.
The ticked tabby danced around the wolf, her short fur bristling into tiny spikes along her spine. "I was just testing you, rabbit-breath. I won't miss this time." StarClan, she hoped she wouldn't. The warrior's eyes briefly darted to the rocks she'd created with Erupt previously, and decided to use her Rock Shower on the wolf.

Fernwhisker's tail twitched in anticipation as they felt more energy surge through their body. They grit their teeth as Sorrelblaze was hit. "Are you okay?" They called. Sorrelblaze didn't seem to be injured too badly...but Fernwhisker couldn't help but worry. The things they'd give for a thunderstorm to roll in over camp right now. Taking energy from the air felt like a slow and tedious process. But if they could get a lightning strike? Their paws tingled at the thought.
The harder they could hit the wolf, the better. Sorrelblaze seemed to be handling herself fine for now, so Fernwhisker decided to continue to charge themselves up.
