This is the official thread for Briarfish & Creekpaw vs their wolf. Only the respective roleplayers & staff can reply to this thread. The wolf does not care for turn-based combat rolls. It may attack between turns, or wait until after both cats have struck. The wolf will not attack until at least one roleplayer has responded. Its target will be selected via dice roll. Please wait until your attack has been rolled before posting a second attack. This is a team battle, please do not post more than twice without your partner's response. The wolves are significantly stronger than your warriors, they have more hp and their attacks have a higher damage cap. If you are uncertain as to how combat works, feel free to reference any previous battles that have taken place. Hare Plains & Splash Cove should still have their previous battle threads available for viewing. This event's battle managers are Jinx, Blaze and Thorne. This was just what she needed. Briarfish hauled herself out of the Elder's den, tail lashing furiously as she cursed something under her breath. What in StarClan's name was causing all this racket? She barred her teeth as she locked eyes with a wolf who'd been standing nearby. "Ah, so the ugly bastards finally made their move." She grumbled. Her yellow eyes fell on Creekpaw, who seemed to have been separated from his mentor. Someone's gotta keep him out of trouble. Suppose that's me. She sighed. She'd done her part for her Clan, she'd devoted countless moons to service. For these hooligans to force her out of retirement? Someone had to teach them a lesson. They don't mess with her kin. And they sure as hell don't mess with her nap schedule.
The elder carried herself to Creekpaw's side, dipping her head to her grand-nephew. "If you step on my paws, I'll have you picking the ticks off of me for a moon, so watch your step." She grumbled. Fallowbird was too soft with them. Someone had to teach those kits some tough love, 'else they'd all end up like Mossleap. "And you," She turned her gaze to the wolf. "You'd better learn some damn respect. WindClan's not your plaything, so piss off!" She shot forth a blast of water, hoping to nail the wolf right in the head.

Creekpaw was oddly calm about the entire ordeal. Helping with preparations, cats had noticed that his wide eyed stare never quite seemed to leave his face and yet whenever asked, he would simply say there was nothing to be worried about. He was an oddball for sure, but who wasn’t?
He looks at Briarfish for a moment before responding. ”Creekpaw will watch his step. Creekpaw is good at that.” he said, monotone. He watches her taunt the wolves quietly before she attacks , falling into line and following her lead.

Creekpaw rolls a 10 in accuracy. His attack misses.
The wolf locks eyes with Creekpaw, finding the apprentice to be an easy target.
The wolf rolls a 77 in accuracy and a 19 in damage.

Creekpaw: 81/100HP
Wolf: 194/200HP

Briarfish shook her head as her attack missed. "Damn...my eyes aren't as good as they used to be." She grumbled. She turned her head to see the wolf attack Creekpaw, her hackles raising. "Get your grimy paws off the kid!" She hissed. The elder would much rather take the hits for the young one, so she planned on drawing out it's attention onto her. Briarfish had seen enough in her lifetime. If anyone were to fall today, she'd rather it be her. Creekpaw had much to learn.
"I'll show you how to do this someday, so keep fighting." She nodded to the apprentice. She channeled the strength within her, pulling the stored excess water from her body. Briarfish formed a colossal wall of water before her, being careful as to not catch Creekpaw or any other Clanmates who were nearby. "Get the hell out of my camp!" She pushed the wave forward, letting the water collapse onto the wolf.

Okay. Maybe that was something to be worked on in the future. He grits his teeth as he’s sent flying, refusing to cry out in pain. He lands in a tumble and quickly gets back to his paws, charging right back into battle and looking on at his grandmother’s display of power in awe. He’d be just like her one day, he’d make sure of it.
