This is the official thread for Fallowbird & Stormstar vs their wolf. Only the respective roleplayers & staff can reply to this thread. The wolf does not care for turn-based combat rolls. It may attack between turns, or wait until after both cats have struck. The wolf will not attack until at least one roleplayer has responded. Its target will be selected via dice roll. Please wait until your attack has been rolled before posting a second attack. This is a team battle, please do not post more than twice without your partner's response. The wolves are significantly stronger than your warriors, they have more hp and their attacks have a higher damage cap. If you are uncertain as to how combat works, feel free to reference any previous battles that have taken place. Hare Plains & Splash Cove should still have their previous battle threads available for viewing. This event's battle managers are Jinx, Blaze and Thorne. Fallowbird had one major objective in the current battle: Protect the kittens. As she scanned the battlefield, all of her kits were accounted for, each paired safely with someone to assist them in the fight. Bumblekit would remain her top priority so long as the rest remained safe. The nursery was the safest place for him to hide, having been reinforced after Falconfall's omen from StarClan. She'd made sure that any wolf would think twice about sticking their muzzles inside should she fall. Brambles had been woven into the entrance, just large enough for an adult like herself to squeeze out of without losing any fur. It was Bumblekit's last line of defense. She prayed that her training would be enough to protect him.
She channeled a strong gust of wind, preparing to knock back the approaching wolf. Hopefully it would make it think twice before coming near.

There was an unspoken kinship between Fallowbird and Stormstar since the arrival of his dad. It was den mother, and den dad. While he had to prioritize WindClan's safety as their leader, his son was (no doubt) the first thing on his mind when Falconfall uttered those grim words. The smoke tom would do anything in his power to ensure that Bumblekit had a peaceful life, one where he could leave WindClan in peace without fear of becoming wolf food. Today, he'd make that a reality for his son.
He'd lose all nine lives over and over again if it meant keeping Bumblekit safe from those bastards.
He was grateful the queen was willing to lay her life on the line for the sake of a kitten that wasn't even her own. She had plenty of children to worry about- from apprentices to warriors. Even if they were fully or partially trained, they were still her babies. It meant the world to him that she still stood here, to defend the son she so dutifully reared in the place of Ravenstar while she couldn't be there. He could never make this up to Fallowbird.
As the ugly dog neared, the leader let out a ferocious snarl to make his message clear: back off, or else. As his clanmate hurled the wolf away, he prepared himself to use his mastery skill.
Stormstar used Wind Runner.

The wolf snarls and shakes out its pelt, lunging towards Fallowbird.
The wolf rolls a 66 in accuracy and a 7 in damage.

Fallowbird growled as the wolf's blow landed, causing the molly to take a few steps back. She glanced over at Stormstar, noting that he seemed to be preparing for an attack of his own. She'd hold off on her mastery skill for now. For now, she'd assist him in whatever it was he was planning to do. There was more than enough loose dirt in camp thanks to the creation of the tunnels, causing a sandstorm would be easy. "I'll try and keep it busy." She nodded towards the smoky tom. Fallowbird started a strong series of wind gusts, stirring up the dirt and debris on the ground.

The sensitive smoke tom sent a small nod of appreciation in the direction of the queen. She'd done so much, and now, she was willing to fight by her leader's side in order to help defend the young of WindClan. Stormstar could only hope that Steve would learn to treat her well. As he continued to power up and prepare himself for his attack, he grimaced at the wolf's audacity. The WindClan leader flashed his teeth at the mangy dog (not Steve, the wolf). "I'll have to make you pay for that one."

The queen nodded towards Stormstar as the tom used his mastery skill. They shared the same ability, so Fallowbird made a mental note to hold onto her's for later. "It won't be able to do much in this state. So long as we keep up this up, we'll be okay." She lashed her tail. Fallowbird sent forward another strong gust of wind towards the wolf, hoping to knock it off it's paws.
