Lynxstar trotted back into camp with the Gathering patrol in tow, growling curses and spitting under his breath. Duskstar would regret the day he pushed Thunderclan! He would make Shadowclan pay for what they've done, as soon as his warriors were at their peak of fighting ability. First, he would need to have a few apprentices trained properly. He would need to take on an apprentice of his own as well, soon. Acornpaw seemed promising, but Twigpaw would also need a strong mentor to toughen up his innocent exterior. The poor kit wouldn't last a heartbeat on the battlefield if he continued being to nice to everyone he met.
He let out a sigh as he paced in front of his den, his eyes seemingly boring holes into the ground in thought. Shadowclan needed to learn their lesson and if Thunderclan must teach them not to mess with power of nature then so be it! He stopped, dragging his claws against the ground to release his anger before he leapt onto the High Rock, yowling out to the clan.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the High Rock for a Clan Meeting!"

Move dust through the light to fide your name 212 @// Sagewhisker was not impressed. The fur on the back of his neck was ruffled as he padded back into camp, whiskers twitching in annoyance. He had given Lynxstar specific orders to stay in camp and rest. Not only did he disobey them, but he caused a fight at the gathering that StarClan had to put an end to. Was he losing his mind?
The white tom was about to request to speak to Lynxstar in the medicine den alone, but the leader had called a Clan meeting. Oh, this is just perfect. He won't even give me the chance to try and fix the mess he got us in to. All the evidence pointed to ShadowClan being the root of the problem, but as a peacekeeper the tom had to try and intervene. Even if it meant disobeying his leader.
"Lynxstar, I believe you're overreacting. We should take some time to investigate the site of the fire before we start planning an attack on ShadowClan. It could have been caused by one of our own warriors or apprentices, or even started naturally." He proposed, trying to stay calm. There had to be a way to convince the tom not to start planning a direct attack on ShadowClan when they could be innocent. This is not a place. Not yet awake.

Lynxstar casted a look down to Sagewhisker, flicking an ear and whipping his tail as he waited for his clan to heed his call. He scoffed, "Overreacting? Ridiculous. Shadowclan must pay for disturbing the order of the forest and if we must attack them in order to do so, then that is what we shall do."
He narrowed his gaze at the white tom, as if judging his worth. "Are you saying that I would not know if my own warriors and apprentices set a fire in my territory? Are you saying that Shadowclan is innocent?" he hissed. "Do not be a fool, Sagewhisker. The fire started on our border and almost reached camp, we should thank Starclan that our water elementals were able to put it out in time. Duskstar knows for a fact that his fire elementals are the culprits, he just does not want to admit so. The forest have justice soon, I will make sure of it."

Brackenstep had been all but over-agitated since the fire. Something was amiss, and while the She-cat had no idea what it was, she would do whatever she could to help...including running in to the meeting even though she'd JUST caught a mouthful of bird for the prey pile. Dropping the thing quickly. she groomed her fur ever so before looking up at their leader, listening to his words towards Sagewhisker. Snorting, she looked down, trying not to interject her own thoughts despite her desire to. Lynxstar was right...It was obvious this was no mistake...

i swear i hate you when you leave The aging black smoke warrior watched his brother from the back of the crowd, scowling his disappointment from under his breath as his brother continued to wage war on ShadowClan. Who was to say the fire was intentional, if ShadowClan had started it? Apprentices were apprentices, and not even the leader could always have control over them. Maybe it could have resulted in absolute tragedy, but everyone made regrettable mistakes. Crowfang's was failing to step up for DarkClan and ShadowClan earlier.
"Must it always be an act of war..." He spoke to himself in a quiet murmur with a shameful shake of his head. His fear wasn't just for himself or for his Clan, but for Lynxstar as well. He seemed to have forgotten that leaders were given finite lives, not a limitless amount. To add to it all, ShadowClan was littered with fire-wielding warriors with a spirit to match, leaving the primarily-earth clan at a disadvantage. Was it so hard to have a peaceful conversation to get to the source of the problem? Crowfang knew Vixenleap, and he had seen the power behind a temperamental fire-warrior. Once ShadowClan was challenged, DarkClan would surely come to their aid.
It only seemed like a war that would result in scorched, defeated ThunderClan warriors, trudging home with their heads bowed and tails between their legs. Perhaps ThunderClan was equivalently arrogant in comparison to ShadowClan, but all it took was one cat to step forward and make peace. Who knew, maybe ShadowClan had troubles with fire as well? It wouldn't be something that Duskstar would reveal publicly, he wouldn't want ShadowClan to be perceived as weak and prone to an attack. But maybe that was what Lynxstar was hoping for?
Regardless, Crowfang didn't like it. Not one bit. @tagtagtag
