The chilling winds of Leafbare were harsh as many cats expected. The mountains sheltered them from the worst of the storms, but still, it was not enough. The Valley was such a large territory that the farther you strayed from the barrier at the north, the windier it got. When the Clans had first settled, they didn’t think they would stay. They thought it was safer near the mountain edges until the avalanches began. They all decided it would be best to be a bit colder than to drown in the snow.
Tensions were high between the Clans, ThunderClan being the root of the problem. They were on the verge of war with ShadowClan after a fire ravaged their territory, started by an elemental. Ravenstar of DarkClan had requested that ThunderClan send a patrol to Five Stones at the next quarter moon to meet with some of her warriors to try and overcome their differences. It was a surprisingly peaceful move by what ThunderClan called a ruthless dictator. No leaders, no deputies and no medicine cats were allowed to attend. Just neutral standing warriors. Lynxstar was very hesitant at first, firmly believing it was a trap. “Lynxstar, you should accept her offer. We cannot guarantee the safety of our cats, but I believe her intentions are sincere.” Sagewhisker meowed. Briarsong flicked her tail. “I also believe it’s a trap, but we can turn the tide if we must. I suggest we send a large patrol with a variety of our elementals. If Ravenstar wishes to eliminate ThunderClan, we won’t let her destroy our Earth elementals.”
Lynxstar twitched his ear. He narrowed his eyes as he listened to his medicine cat and deputy speak, not believing they actually wished to try to make peace with DarkClan. Briarsong wrapped her tail around her paws before continuing to speak. “We can give them the illusion that we are willing to make peace. Give them false hope, perhaps?” Lynxstar was in agreement with Briarsong’s plan. The two chose a group of cats who they knew were in complete opposition to the DarkClan movement.
Ravenstar sat atop the Perching Rock, watching her Clan with her blue eyes. The freezing air was chilling to the bone even with her thick coat. They didn’t have the advantage of fire or earth elementals like every other Clan. But they made it through their first Leafbare alive, she knew they could do it again. Who would she send to the peace talks with ThunderClan? She knew they wouldn’t keep their word, but she didn’t want to risk getting her best warriors away from camp when there were tensions between them and RiverClan.
Tawnylight had made her suggestions for warriors to attend. “Perhaps Dapplecloud and her apprentice Littlepaw could go as well? It could help influence the apprentices’ point of view on ThunderClan if one of them returns with a positive outlook.” Spiderface added. Ravenstar nodded. “Good idea, Spiderface. Especially since most of them have just recently been either chased out of their territories or ran away.”
With their instructions given, DarkClan’s small patrol of cats set off to Five Stones with Tawnylight guiding them. Ravenstar looked down and sent a prayer to StarClan that they would bless her attempts to seek peace. “Trust in StarClan as they did you, Ravenstar. They will protect our cats.” Spiderface meowed. The black she-cat appreciated her medicine cat’s faith in her plan. Time felt like it passed at a crawl as she waited for the patrol to return. She wrapped her tail around her paws as she looked up at the sky. The clouds had taken an odd formation. Suddenly, a blinding light shot down from the sky, forcing her to shut her eyes. The wind blew so strong that she felt as if she was going to be blown away. The trees rustled furiously. Suddenly everything came to a stop. Concerned and horrified cries echoed through the clearing as her Clan was brought to a panic. Day-patrollers and Night-hunters flooded the camp. “Silence!” Ravenstar yowled. Everyone went silent, exchanging nervous glances. “I don’t know what just happened either, but it looked like it came from Five Stones. I will be taking a patrol to investigate. Anyone who wishes to come, please do. This may be a trap from ThunderClan of some sort. Perhaps they’ve found a new element and eliminated our patrol.” She said. Gasps of shock and horror rippled through the camp. Many cats believed there were still elements undiscovered. Perhaps StarClan had proved them right.
Once the patrol arrived at Five Stones, there was no sign of any cats from any Clan. All elemental remnants that decorated the pillars where the leaders spoke were gone. “It’s like the land was...purified.” One of her warriors spoke. A patrol from each Clan soon arrived, leaders and representatives were all present. Lynxstar locked eyes with Ravenstar, the two exchanging furious, accusing glances.
This is the first site wide event. All apprentices, warriors, deputies, leaders/representatives and medicine cats are allowed to be present, like a gathering. ThunderClan and DarkClan cats will be incredibly hostile towards each other.

Thorne Lynxstar let a wild growl rip itself from his throat as he met eyes with the Darkclan "leader", his gaze accusing and bright with fury. He should've known that Ravenstar would pull something like this! What was he thinking, he should've never allowed his warriors to meet with dark elementals. They couldn't be trusted with He looked around the Five Stones, anger grew as he noticed the barreness of the land. There was nothing to show for for the many seasons the clans had been in the Valley, it was as if everything had been erased. He paid no attention as the other clans began to show up, his attention was solely on the Darkclan patrol. His claws scored deep gashes in the earth, he could feel it rumbling as he growled, deep and low. He marched over to Ravenstar, his steps slow and deliberate, his gaze dark and threatening. He walked until he was right in front of Ravenstar, his fur fluffing up to make his powerful frame look dangerous. He stared long and hard at her, his face set deep in a scowl that threatened to make his face break in two. "Raven wing," he snarled. "What. Have you done. With my warriors?"

Only time will tell if we’re all just cynics on the run 150 Ravenstar lashed her tail as Lynxstar approached her. The dark grey she-cat's hackles rose quickly, whiskers twitching. What had he done? Had he discovered a new element and kept it a secret to kill her warriors? She sank her claws into the earth, gritting her teeth. Shadows began to thicken around her coat as he spoke.
"You dare disrespect the name StarClan has given me, Lynxstar?" She growled. She locked her deep blue gaze onto the black and grey tom. "And you dare accuse me of doing this? Look around you! Where are the warriors I sent? The innocent cats who sought out peace just vanished? I think you've spent too much time in the trees, Lynxstar. You must have squirrels in your brain."
The she-cat let out another growl. "I should have known trying to put aside our differences would be hopeless. I am dealing with ThunderClan after all." If we’re all just cynics come undone

ThorneLynxstar scoffed, his golden eyes dark as he stared Ravenstar down. His ears twitched as he noticed the atmosphere darkened around her, but he dared not back down. Instead, he held his head high, his tail sweeping the ground behind him. He growled back, "How am I to know you didn't call your clan to attack my warriors? I sent a patrol of one of every element that Thunderclan has, you have done something to them, I just know it." He hissed, his white fangs gleaming under silverpelt. "You should be glad that Thunderclan even decided to take you up on your silly little 'peace talk' to begin with! Dark elementals can not be trusted and now, in addition to precious time wasted that could have been spent training or hunting or something truly productive, I have 7 warriors missing that have families and a clan to return to!" He spat at her, his muzzle curling in disgust. "If if was not you, and it certainly was not me, then who else could it have been, Ravenstar? There's no one else who could have done it! Who here is to blame?!" he yowled in fury.

Honestly, Brackenstep was still in shock over all that had happened, but the Warrior was anxiously glaring at Ravenstar from a spot nearby. She was ready to defend Lynxstar from anything, and since the Darkclan cats had proved their own treachery, the cat was nothing if not fiercely angry. The cat was already terribly protective of her clan...This only pushed it even further than before. Her chest rumbled with a low growl as she shifted to be a bit closer to the potential action, and to make sure that she could be ready...just in case they fought. In case Thunderclan was given the chance to stand up for themselves. First Shadowclan, and now this...
-------------------------
Her silvery pelt slipped quietly between the throng of cats, watching the leaders from the other clans with quiet anxiety in her eyes. Tensions were high, and she could all but breathe them in. Each cat seemed so tense, and the young female could only hope that there would be no blood shed. Starclan only knew that she abhorred violence, and with the position given to her, she was to step back, to not engage. Her job was to heal and help. Not that much she could do would help right about now. Settling herself near the front of the throng of her clan's cats, she watched with worried eyes. Just let there be no bloodshed.
----------------------------
Thunderclan had her on edge as well, but after the...incident that had happened, Nightthorn was more than wary. The Deputy traced her path near where her Leader would be, teeth clenched and a sense of heat running through her veins. Starclan only knew that she was ready to bloody her claws and teeth, but it seemed Thunderclan's over-hostile reactions to everything was attached to Darkclan at the moment. How intriguing. One way or another, she would keep her eyes on everything...to make sure that she could be ready to protect all she must.

A blinding light shooting into the sky was the last thing Heatherstar had been expecting to see. The winds swept strongly in its wake, though she stood unfazed as it ruffled her golden fur, eyes narrowing upon the distant five stones.
It wasn't long before she was headed toward it, ever curious, though understandably wary. Even before she could hear a word, she felt a heavy tension in the air, saw the rivaling fury of Darkclan and Thunderclan. With a subtle frown, she let the wind carry words to her ears despite the distance, catching a few snippets before releasing her hold.
With a whisk of her tail a commanding gesture for her accompanying clanmates to stay back - with perhaps the exception of her deputy - she approached the arguing pair with a wary calm, keeping a respectable distance as she dipped her head in greeting, perhaps concern etched into her features.
"Ravenstar, Lynxstar," she greeted in turn, offering both the same courtesy. "What has happened?"

Featherpaw felt her fur rising, naturally, she was frightened. Cats didn't just vanish into thin air, something must have happened to them. She watched Lynxstar with suspicion in her yellow gaze. Naturally, Thunderclan would be the most likely for causing these disappearances. Still... the bright flash that had appeared in the sky was worrisome. Was it a message from Starclan? Or did Thunderclan somehow discover a new power? Tentatively, she sat down near where the leaders were speaking and listened. Observing was the best choice for her, considering the situation.

Duskstar had sprinted gracefully into the clearing just in time to catch the back end of Lynxstar's statement about the dark-gifted. His gait turned from solemnly curious to furious in the space of a second, and he slunk to Ravenstar's side. The clearing was... bare. It should not be bare. Even the Elemental Remnants were gone. It was as if something had come in and swept it clean. He hadn't known about the peace talk, but he knew from Ravenstar's expression that something awful had happened. Lynxstar's aggression wasn't unusual, but he couldn't help his hackles raising involuntarily.
"What is the meaning of this?" His voice was low, not quite a growl, and he drew himself up to his full height as his emergency patrol caught up with him. "Our guards saw a light from here, was there some.. fire, what has happened, Ravenstar?" He purposefully avoided asking the Thunderclan leader for his version of events. It was clear Lynxstar had his own agenda about every occurrence in the forest, and this would likely be no exception. The upcoming threat of war still loomed heavy over Duskstar's head. If Lynxstar would go through with it, it would be... interesting.

Only time will tell if we’re all just cynics on the run #### Ravenstar glared at Lynxstar and scoffed. "I did something to them? Please, does this look like the scene of a massacre caused by dark elementals? How am I to know that you haven't discovered a new element and kept it to yourself until today?" She narrowed her eyes. "There is nothing left here to show of our ancestors. Their first remnants are gone. This can only be the work of another, new element."
The dark grey she-cat turned to the other leaders and flicked her ear. "I had sent a patrol for peace talks with ThunderClan and they expect me to believe that my warriors just vanished out of thin air." She growled. "You're a damned fool, Lynxstar." She hissed. "I want my warriors back now." If we’re all just cynics come undone

So, cats had disappeared. That certainly wasn’t something they’d seen before...but it asn’t something the clans had never experienced. No, the one tale that had survived the ages, the disappearances of long ago. It had been much the same, hadn’t it, gone without a trace?
Heatherstar watched as Duskstar arrived with Shadowclan. She was not surprised to see him, nor at how quickly he had taken Ravenstar’s side. Honestly, she couldn’t blame him, really. Windclan may be impartial, but Shadowclan and Dakclan had always been close, and with the rift between Thunderclan and Shadowclan....It would seem if it weren’t for Windclan and Riverclan, Thunderclan may well have found themselves driven from their home by now. It was fortunate to them that there were two neutral clans, then...but how long would that remain so?
“So cats disappeared, there was a strange light, and this whole area seems....cleansed,” she mused thoughtfully, keeping herself no closer to one opposing side than the other as she cocked her head softly in thought. “And both your patrols are missing?”
It was strange the leaders hadn’t gone to their own peace talk - as she was gathering they had not from the fact neither seemed to know what happened - but such was not her place to say. Their business was their own, but this was bigger than them, or their tentative relationship.
Instead, Heatherstar sat down calmly, curling her tail.
“It would not be the first time, if the history is to be believed...Medicine cats, have you heard anything from Starclan?”

Thorne Thyra Lynxstar growled back at Ravenstar, wrinkling his nose as Duskstar arrived with his patrol. "Ridiculous! Thunderclan has all the elements we need, we have no use for one more!" He hissed fiercely at Ravenstar, his hackled raising in anger. "I am the fool? This was your idea, this would not have happened, had you not had your head in clouds!" he yowled. "Why would I even want your sorry excuses for warriors? They have no place in Thunderclan! And even if I did take them, which I did not, I would not be here, demanding my own warriors back!" He turned his head in comtempt as Heatherstar spoke, he didn't want to waste his breath on the fools if he wasn't going to be listened to. His ear twitched as he listened, his face going from its usual scowl to deep thought.
Spiderface's usually cool demeanor had dropped as soon as he arrived at Five Stones. The whole area was.... clean. Normally, he'd be estatic that such a thing could be achieved if it'd been his herb store, but there was nothing here. Nothing to show for the last disasterous Gathering. Nothing to show the clans many moons in the Valley, not even Darkclan's Elemental Remnants were there. Just the Stones and the grass underneath his paws. He tuned out Lynxstar's shouting as he always did when he was forced to make contact with the dungfaced fool, and instead began to inspect around the clearing. His ears perked up as Heatherstar addressed the medicine cats and he turned his head to meet her eyes. "Starclan hasn't spoken to me for some moons," he said solomnly, shaking his head.

Mistypelt couldn't find a way to answer at first. The tensions were making her anxious, and the fact of the matter is? Something like this was unheard of. After a few tense, shaking moments, she let her paws carry her forwards, voice trembling as she spoke up, "Respected leaders, I regret to say that I've heard nothing. Starclan has not showed me anything to do with the warriors yet...only dreams from my former mentor, but..." Oh, starclan help her, she could not believe she was about to be this bold, "Something like this, how could it be anything but? The space is cleansed, and the bright light....I can think of little else that would cause such a thing..."

Crowthroat // Briarsong So all you restless Each night you hear the drums of war Awaken, awaken The voice begins to call you while you hunger WORD COUNT TAGS WHATEVER
Crowthroat's eyes widened in horror as he entered the clearing behind Ravenstar. What in StarClan's name had happened here? Where did the patrol go? He looked at the stones where the leaders sat, seeing that the elemental remnants had been wiped. He remembered decorating DarkClan's with many of his Clanmates. Everything they had done was gone. He frowned. Crowthroat's yellow eyes blazed as he looked at the ThunderClan warriors. The tom stood next to Ravenstar and growled, claws unsheathed and his hackles raised. "Give us back our Clanmates!" He spat. He knew he was out of line to speak, but his Clan was his family. He'd kill all of ThunderClan if he had to.
---
Briarsong kept a steady gaze on DarkClan, not allowing her expression to show what she was thinking. It had to have been them. She agreed with Lynxstar, but she didn't want a fight to break out. "Peace, Lynxstar. I'm sure we can prove that it was them without tearing Ravenstar's throat out. We can find evidence without killing them for what they did." She meowed calmly.

As each medicine cat offered a no in turn, from her own, to Spiderface and Mistyheart as well, Heatherstar’s tail flickered behind her. Wary of only more disappointment, she cast her gaze imploringly toward the remaining two medicine cats. However, before she or they could say much of anything, she caught the reassuring of Briarsong to her deputy and flicked an ear irritably. In all honesty, she’d though the deputy more reasonable, though at the very least she didn’t seem out for blood, which seemed a huge step in the right direction for most Thunderclan cats under Lynxstar’s rule.
“I implore all of you, calm down and think about this rationally,” she insisted, eyes narrowing just slightly, even as her composure remained mostly calm and in control. For a moment, she cast her gaze about the purified clearing, before returning it to the angry leaders. “I can understand your worry for you clanmates, and why you would wish to point the blame upon each other, but do either of you seriously think your claims hold any ground?”
With another brief pause, she gestured about the clearing, before continuing, cutting off either of them if they would start to protest. “There was a mysterious bright light, warriors from both your clans are missing, and this place looks like no one has ever set paw here at all, much less elementals. If either patrol had attacked the other, there would be signs of a struggle. Burn marks, blood, torn up earth, fur...there is nothing. So unless both patrols willingly went off Starclan knows where with each other, something else has clearly happened.”
Setting a firm gaze upon the other cats, she let her long tail sway slightly behind her. “How about instead of clawing out each other’s throats, we try and work out what did happen. Personally, I agree with Mistypelt,” she added, dipping her head toward her medicine cat, reassuring the nervous molly as well as thanking her for her opinion. “This feels to me like the work of Starclan. After all, warriors don’t just disappear in a flash of light, and last time I checked, they elemental damage and pawprints alike don’t tend to vanish like this either.”
Heatherstar could only hope they’re listen, however, the tension was palpable enough that they seemed just as likely to turn against her as well. Therefore, her eye upon them remained cautious, ready to defend herself if need be.

Thorne Thyra Jinx Lynxstar gave the medicine cats a single flick of his ear as they spoke. His eyes darkened in thought as he went over their words in his head. If Starclan wasn't speaking to them, then it was for good reason he knew. Before he could ask his own medicine cat of his own findings, a Darkclan warrior hissed in anger, poised to attack. He didn't react however, instead he merely stared back at the warrior, his eyes alight with fire. "I shall say this once more, fool, listen well." he calmly said. The ground around him raised and fell as he stalked towards the warrior, yet he alone seemed unphased. "I. Do not. Have. Your. Warriors. I want nothing to do with them." He stared the warrior down for a few more heartbeats, daring his to make another move, before his deputy spoke. He turned his gaze towards her, his usual scowl set deep in his face. "I will have peace once my warriors are returned home safely," he said. His tail sweeped the ground once more, his eyes far away in thought. He turned to Heatherstar, his eyes meeting hers. "Well, then, Heatherstar," he said, sitting down on his haunches. He raised an eyebrow at her, but pointed his ears towards her, ready to listen. "What do you propose we do?" he asked. He sounded mocking, and he knew that it sounded as such, but he was truly willing to listen if it meant his warriors would be returned safely.
Spiderface looked on as the two leaders' shouting match reached a halt. He was grateful and surprised that Heatherstar had actually managed to calm Lynxstar down and ask for an opinion other than his own. He'd gain a respect for the Windclan Leader, and so did Lynxstar, it seemed. His head snapped toward Crowthroat as he yowled out of line. He stalked towards the warrior and tapped him lightly, yet firmly, against the back of head, like a queen scolding her kit. "Hold your tongue, you mousbrain!" he growled. Before he could scold Crowthroat anymore, the very ground beneath him seemed to rock back and forth. He dug his claws deep in the the ground in an attempt to steady himself and opened his mouth to yowl at Lynxstar to stop. Briarsong had beat him to it however, and the shaking stopped. He breathed a sigh of relief as he lowered himself down. He was getting to old for this, the other clans shouldn't have to be Thunderclan's kitsitter. If this was how he acted normally, then he truly felt sorry for Briarsong. Perhaps Darkclan should send her a consolation gift, some prey or maybe more herbs?
Russetpaw ducked behind a Riverclan warrior as Ravenstar and Lynxstar exchanged venom. If anything else, he felt worried and cranky about the whole thing. Worried for the warriors that disappeared from both clans and for their wellbeing, and cranky for being woken up at such a late time during Silverpelt. He shook his head in worry as a Darkclan warrior spoke up against Lynxstar, surely, it wouldn't end well for anyone involved. He was, unfortunately, correct. His hackles raised in fear as the ground began to shake. He struggled to keep himself up right and had soon fallen over from the sheer force of Lynxstar's anger. He'd been calmed down by his deputy, however and he took a moment to regain himself. He gathered himself to his paws, his tail swishing around behind him.
Leopardfang had braced himself for an attack as soon as he and the rest of Shadowclan arrived. A deep growl ripped itself from his throat when he spotted Lynxstar. Of course that frogbrained fool was here, he should've known! He watched as Duskstar placed himself next to Ravenstar, the two Dark leaders staring Lynxstar down. The tension was thick enough to slice through, so he readied himself to leap into the fray to protect his leader when Heatherstar spoke up. He simply flicked an ear once she finished speaking. He whipped his head around when a Darkclan warrior - Crowthroat, if he could remember correctly - spoke up against Lynxstar. He was glad someone other than the leaders was brave enough to speak up against him. Soon, he realized he was experiencing one of Lynxstar's fabled temper tantrums, as the ground began to toss him around. He let out a yelp as he fell over, but he quickly righted himself before anyone could notice. Once it stopped, he gave a snort and a glare to Lynxstar, who had his back to the spotted warrior. A quiet growl escaped from his throat before he turned his attention back to Heatherstar.
Fernbreeze stood by her leader as he demanded her fellow warriors back. She rolled her eyes as Ravenstar demanded her own warriors back, as if Thunderclan wanted those blackhearts into their clan. They'd been chased out for a reason. She stopped listening to their pointless argument however and instead focused on her surroundings. Maybe something had taken them had striked before they even had the chance to fight back. But that wouldn't make sense, there'd at least be claw marks in the ground, Five Stones was barren as a newborn kit's fur. She had no time to think of another explanation when the ground began to lurch beneath her. She spread her paws to steady herself, being quite used to Lynxstar's rage. Once he'd calmed down, she looked over at Briarsong, giving her a nod in gratefulness. She looked over at Heatherstar, eager to hear her suggestion.
