Physical Appearance
*Brief Description: Russet-colored base coat with shades of brown, black, and shades of red mixed in. White underside, chin, and socks.
In-depth Description: Tawnyheart is rather intimidating, with a broad chest and a large, lean build; those that run into her joke that it is rather like running into a rock wall. She looks rather like a bodyguard, especially when she plants her feet apart and raises her tail threateningly. She has sharp yellow-green eyes that can be somewhat hard to look at, given the fact that she fixes many with her no-nonsense stare whenever addressing them.
Personality
*Trait lists:
*+ Altruistic, organized, clever, protective, hardworking
*- Bossy, control freak, loud, brash, obsessive
*: No-nonsense, down-to-earth, stern, sarcastic
Personality description: Tawnyheart is a tough madre type of cat. She loves all her Clanmates with a motherly affection, especially the young kits and apprentices, whom she is extremely protective of. One of the most altrustic cats in the Clan, Tawnyheart would be more than willing to give up her own rights or her own freedom in order to allow one of her Clanmates to safety. She is organized and clever, with a mind like an elephant; if someone messes up, she'll know if they've done it before or not, and is not afraid to call them out on their bullsh*t. She can be quite loud, which leads some cats to dislike her, especially when she teases them in ways that they don't appreciate. She works hard at her duty as a warrior and her duty as a Clanmate, talking to each cat, fussing over the elders, and voting carefully at each meeting.
As nice as she is, Tawnyheart is a bossy control freak. She loves telling others what to do, and doesn't like it when things spiral out of order, and when the tables turn Tawnyheart will not hesitate to seize the reigns and jerk the line back to how she likes it. Others find her really imposing and spit at her for trying to control them, but she does it for their own good; it's just that she gets out of hand quite often, to the point of becoming obsessive, and needs level-headed cats to restrain her.
On the other hand, some cats appreciate Tawnyheart's brashness, and her no-nonsense, down-to-earth mannerisms. She doesn't take excuses from anyone and always gives others her true opinion. Of course, she knows when to talk and when not to; but when she does, it's pure truth, and, as such, the truth often shocks. Tawnyheart treats everyone fairly, because she truly believes that there is a good and a bad in everyone, and she is determined to bring out the goodness.
Likes: Taking care of others, being in charge, organizing, others letting her fuss over them
Dislikes: Excuses, bullsh*t, lying, pretending, shyness, stupidity, pettiness, selfishness

History
*History: From the very moment she was born, Tawnyheart wanted to be a mother. She was the second eldest of five kits, and thus was trusted to take care of them. And take of them she did; she and the eldest, Foxkit, co-lead adventures, and she also made sure each one of them received equal attention and fair treatment, and protected them with her life against the bullies in the nursery. The six siblings grew up very close, bound by Tawnykit, and loved each other dearly.
Everyone celebrated when they all became 'paws. They had their own little commencement party in the apprentices' den to celebrate their milestones, and met together frequently during mealtimes to socialize and bond as a family. Tawnypaw was the leader as always, asking each cat how their day went, what they learned, et cetera. She made sure no one slacked off or tried to skip their apprentice chores, and she did a fair amount herself as well. She was often teased and yelled at by her siblings for being too controlling, and thus they balanced each other out; someone would call Tawnypaw out when it became too much, and she would hastily back off.
When they all became warriors, no one was surprised that Badgerstar gave Tawnypaw her name, for her heart of gold. Tawnyheart wore it with pride, and her siblings supported her as she stepped forward, as she did for them. The six were excited to be finally beginning their lives as mature adult warriors.
Of course, one of the first things they discussed were mates. And that was when things started to... drift apart.
Love complicates things. It always does. Tawnyheart watched helplessly as her youngest sister Russetbriar fell quickly in love with a RiverClanner she'd met at a Gathering. A moon later, she'd left with her beau and his Clan after the Gathering. Then, her youngest brother, who was the shyest of them all and had finally found a reason to be joyful in his new mate, fell into despair after she died kitting, and became withdrawn again. A moon later, he was taking a walk to rid himself of feelings, not paying attention to his surroundings, and had gotten hit by a falling tree branch. Another sister, Furzeflower, sacrificed herself during a battle to save a Clanmate she'd crushed on. Then tragedy struck again when another brother disappeared without a trace while chasing after a female loner that had caught his eye when she'd been trespassing, and they never saw him again. And all that was left of the little family they'd worked so hard to build was Tawnyheart and the eldest, Foxtuft.
Foxtuft had yet to find a mate, and with all that had happened, he was wary to do so. Meanwhile, Tawnyheart was out searching for her own potential mate. There'd been plenty of toms she'd crushed on, but she didn't feel particularly drawn to any of them in some emotional way.
Then came the mysterious Tiberius.
She and Foxtuft had been taking a walk when they'd first encountered him sniffing in the ThunderClan lands. Foxtuft had wanted to chase him off, but Tawnyheart held him back and instead talked Tiberius off, offering to escort him to the border of the Valley. He'd been strangely polite about it, and the two walked a distance. Along the way, Tiberius struck up a conversation, had given his name, and Tawnyheart instantly felt a connection with the stranger that she'd never felt with anyone. It was not a platonic connection, or some kind of sibling connection; it was something entirely new, and Tawnyheart thought it was love.
So she said something she'd thought she'd never say in her entire life to a loner: "will I see you again?"
"Only if you wish," he said smoothly, and her heart fluttered. So she'd said yes.
Foxtuft had frowned and asked her what had taken her so long, but Tawnyheart dismissed the concern and began to see Tiberius in secret, sneaking out during the nights or taking patrols by herself as an excuse to meet with the handsome cat.
Time flowed, and soon Tawnyheart found herself falling hard for the tom. However, there was no signal from the other side, no sign that Tiberius felt the same. Until he popped one question.
"Tawnyheart," he began one day, as they lay side-by-side gazing at the stars, "I've told you about my life, yes?"
"Of course," she replied instantly, tearing her gaze away from the sky to look at him strangely-- he'd been going on and on about himself for the past few days, and she'd allowed it, enraptured by the stories he told of a life outside the Clans, beyond the Valley. "You're part of a... gang, was it called? You live in that Twolegplace-- a place with... creatures who aren't cats-- over there. You're the leader," she added, stroking his ego.
"I am," Tiberius replied, giving her the proud look she'd aimed to bring out. His love of himself was what drew Tawnyheart; he was bold, daring, and maybe terribly, terribly self-centered, but it was okay, because he came to see her and that was enough to make her think that he cared about her. He took time out of his busy, busy life to meet with her in secret.
"That's part of why I want to talk to you," he continued, and she knew what he wanted to ask. "I have enjoyed your company so much over the past few moons we've known each other, and I--"
"Yes, I will be your mate," she interrupted without thinking, already ecstatic.
"Excellent." he beamed, standing up. "You will live with me, then." It wasn't a question, and Tawnyheart hesitated.
"This... leaving the Clan, what I've always known, it's a big step," she said quietly. Yes, she would give anything to live with him, to stop meeting like this, to stop pretending their love was something taboo. Suddenly, she understood how all her siblings must've felt. Love made you throw everything away just to pursue it. It could be either a poison or a blessing in disguise-- but it could not be both simultaneously. "Can I think about it, actually? I love you. But I also love my Clan, and I want time to... say good-bye." she swallowed.
Tiberius nodded. "I understand," he replied. "It'll be a far journey away from your home to mine. We'll rule the gang together, with our kits, and I'll take care of you... wow. I can't wait to have kits." Her heart fluttered, and he smiled that condescending yet warm smile. And she knew that he knew that she would leave the Clan, and there would be no thinking. He knew her too well already. "I'll see you tomorrow at dawn."
So she left that night, and returned to ThunderClan, her heart already heavy with melancholy and nostalgia at the thought of leaving her home. At least, when she would be gone, she would be with Tiberius. Since when did he become more important than my duty as a Clanmate, a warrior of ThunderClan? She didn't tell anyone, not even Foxtuft, whom she trusted with her life. It would be too hard. She decided that she would leave tomorrow, and go find Tiberius and where he lived. He described it to her often, and she closed her eyes, imagining herself as a gang cat in... who even knew what was beyond the Valley? Would she like it? Would she miss ThunderClan?
Of course.
But that night she dreamt, and when she opened her eyes in a meadow she saw a familiar cat standing in front of her.
"Furzeflower," Tawnyheart breathed out. Her sister dipped her head, stars bright in her fur. "I haven't seen you since you allowed yourself to be killed by that terrible warrior. But I understand how you feel. Love is a strange thing."
"It is." Her sister's eyes had a far-away, pained look, and Tawnyheart began to frown. Just what message did she have for her? "I have some grave news."
"What is it?" Tawnyheart's breath hitched. "Is it... is it about Tiberius?" she asked defensively. "I love him! And you can't tell me that's wrong?"
"It is about you," her sister continued solemnly, stoically.
"Me?"
"Yes. I am sorry," she said, her voice lowering to a gentle lilt, "but Tawnyheart-- you can never have kits."
The dreamland began to spin. "W-what?" Tawnyheart choked out. It was all she ever wanted-- to be a mother. She'd been practicing since Day One. How could this happen? "What do I do? Tiberius wants kits!"
"Follow your heart," her sister said firmly. "Your Clanmates are your kits."
"But... but I'm leaving. You should know that."
"Are you?"
Tawnyheart woke up before being able to respond. It was dawn, and she scrambled to meet Tiberius, who was already waiting.
"Ready?" he gave her a smile, and her heart swelled again.
"Before we go," she began, suddenly shy, though she was larger than him, "I have something to say." She took a deep breath, and told him about her infertility.
He said nothing, and his eyes widened. Before she could say anything else, he turned tail and sprinted away, leaving her standing there, staring across the border, still smelling his lingering scent.
And that was the end of that.
