Q - What are “Elemental Remnants”?
A - Elemental Remnants are essentially the somewhat permanent marks of the Elements left behind by the user. Depending on the time of day or the place, certain remnants are more visible than others. An example are the rocks surrounding DarkClan’s camp that are covered with Elemental Remnants that illuminate at night to warn off intruders. During the day, these remnants are not visible at all.
Q - What is consumption?
A - Consumption is a fatal elemental attack on a user who has not been able to control their element before the age of 12 moons old. If a cat cannot control their element, it will slowly begin to consume them and ultimately destroy them. The effects of consumption can be delayed by using an herb called star root until they are either consumed or control their element. Star root is grown by medicine cats and cannot be found in the wild.
Q - Does a cat's element affect their appearance?
A - Not completely! Every elemental can sport something that shows what element they wield, and at times, especially for kits, it can be unintentional. For example, an earth elemental may have flowers growing in their pelt, or a fire elemental may occasionally have some smoke at their paws or coming from their noses. It's completely up to the roleplayer how they'd like to use their element outside of battle for their cat's appearance, so long as it is reasonable.
Q - When can my apprentice become a warrior?
A - Your apprentice needs to have at least 1 training thread, 1 non-training thread and their assessment thread completed. They also need to be two irl weeks old (2 weeks after their application is accepted). Once that's completed, you can post on the ceremony request thread linking all the required threads.
Q - Can I pick my warrior name?
A - For premade warriors, yes! If you make an apprentice, you must purchase it from the shop, otherwise, the leader of the Clan will choose their warrior name for you.
Q- How do hunting and fighting work?
A- For battling, staff will roll a dice to see how much damage you deal for the elemental skill that you choose to use. Damage dealt to the opposing cat varies depending on element and skills, as well as what the dice decides. For example; if a fire elemental apprentice, who only has two skills unlocked, gets into a fight with a water elemental warrior, who has three or more skills depending on their age, the water elemental may win due to differing elements, but the apprentice still has a good chance if the dice rolls cruddy damage for the warrior. If a fire elemental leader, who has all skills including a Mastery Skill unlocked goes against a water elemental warrior, the leader will most likely win, but still has a good chance of losing due to Fire being weak to Water. As for hunting, it's completely up to the roleplayer as to whether you catch something or not.
