((Hey kids! Any kitties you no longer need that wants to be killed by Mouseclaw?)) Mouseclaw Now, she only had more threats.
Lynxstar had chosen his successor, Newtpaw, meaning that Mouseclaw had acted too late. If he was to die, he had a little "pet" to replace him and take up the mantle of ThunderClan. It should have been her, she was the one to train with a real warrior as an apprentice, not the pitiful mouse her brother had received as a mentor. In every way, she was much more worthy.
He was all talk, he'd always been.
If she was leader, she would have acted on DarkClan forever ago, destroyed them while they were still attempting to form and get everything together. Instead, he was weak, he fell to Ravenstar's level and agreed to try negotiating. And for what? To lose a patrol of valuable warriors, possibly taken hostage by DarkClan? The thought made her blood boil.
Her level of anger was getting too high to control at this point. Pacing along the river rocks with her tail twitching irritably, she decided to settle down a little. Now seated, she discovered the remains of what appeared to have been a fox. With her dangerous claws unsheathed, she began to sink the little daggers into the old skull, imagining that it was her brother's face. One day, she was confident that she'd overthrow him. She would rule ThunderClan as Mousestar, and she would make DarkClan and ShadowClan cower in her wake.

Fernbreeze walked along the River Rocks, her eyes darting everywhere and nowhere at once. She had seen Mouseclaw storm off after Newtpaw's ceremony and, though she knew not why, had wanted to go after her. Liontail had warned her to be careful, all of Thunderclan, besides Lynxstar himself, knew that Mouseclaw was not happy with her brother and his rank. Most seemed to avoid the brown she-cat, for fear of her wrath rather than her words. Fernbreeze, however, was certain that all Mouseclaw needed was someone to talk to. She couldn't very well talk to he siblings, Lynxstar was too busy planning a confrontation with Ravenstar, Crowfang was the biggest introvert Fernbreeze knew of, and Hollyfoot...
Hollyfoot was bossy. Anyone could say it with a clear conscience and the only one who'd protest was Hollyfoot herself.
And since no one else was willing to hear Mouseclaw out, Fernbreeze took it upon herself to be the cat she could trust. She was sure she could get the brown she-cat out of her prickly shell. She got Vixenleap to at least talk to her to a bit, how hard could this be compared to that?
Fernbreeze stopped in her tracks suddenly spotting the cat in question near the riverbank, her back turned towards her. She slowed her gait, not anted to startled the older warrior. "Mouseclaw?" she called out, her voiced quieter than its usual cheery boom. "Are you alright? You left camp so suddenly, I wanted to see if... something was wrong?"
She suddenly felt a stone drop in her stomach. Maybe this was why the clan didn't talk to her much... 'No,' she thought to herself. 'This is probably why she was so upset to begin with, mousebrain! You've gotten this far already, don't just turn away now!'

She'd be a fool if she didn't think she wouldn't be followed. Some cats poked their noses into the wrong business at the worst of times. Unfortunately, this would be the situation for Fernbreeze, who had so thoughtfully decided to check up on a Clanmate who appeared to be in distress. Distress was correct, but not the type one would want to stick around for. Whatever irritated Mouseclaw seemed to stir up trouble for just about everyone, and sometimes, it was more than just "trouble". It could breed death and destruction. Those eyes, narrowed into scrutinizing slits, burned with hatred and unimaginable rage as they settled on the companionable warrior. May StarClan have pity on her soul. "Many things are wrong...everything is wrong!" Her figure followed her gaze, rising to her paws and stalking forward as if Fernbreeze was an oblivious mouse. Her temper was unbelievable, but her desperation to dethrone Lynxstar and conquer ThunderClan...it was blinding. "And you? You just follow Lynxstar, just like the rest of them. That only makes you another one of his pawns, and just another obstacle in my path to righteousness." Without another word, or even without waiting for what might be Fernbreeze's final words, the chocolate warrior darted forward with malicious intent. Would she use her abilities? She didn't care...for now, her only goal was to tear out the throat of this scratching post. Blaze

"...I-I'm sure that whatever's bothering you will pass over soon. My mother used to say that every obstacle is a chance to grow stronger!" Fernbreeze said, backing away from the older warrior. She didn't even have a chance to say anything more before Mouseclaw started shouting at her, making her ears pin to the back of her head. She opened her mouth to ask what it was she was talking about, Lynxstar was their leader, it was the will of Starclan that they follow him, but all that came out was a wet gurgle as Mouseclaw slashed at her throat. Her lungs burned for air, though all that seemed to come from her mouth were wet coughs and a steady stream of red.
She stumbled to the ground, her eyes widening as she finally understood the situation. All too late as she usually did, she thought bitterly to herself. As she lay in a pool of her own blood, her claws gripping uselessly at the ground underneath, she looked to her soon-to-be murderer, a single tear feel from her eye. "Why...?" she said breathlessly, before she finally went limp.

To any sane cat, it might be a moment to reflect on the situation and allow the feelings of horror and regret to seep in, to step back and gape at the destruction they had caused. But Mouseclaw...sanity did not seem to be in her favor. She did step back, but her drop didn't drop, her eyes didn't widen in fear at the gruesome sight of her fallen clanmate that she had slayed. Oh- she pondered over the situation, alright.
A surge of pride and triumph swelled up in the warrior's chest as she drew in a deep breath, standing tall over Fernbreeze's crumpled form. She did not cower away from the bloody mess, nor did she try to deny what she had done: she owned up to it. And worse: she did it with satisfaction and glory. She had witnessed the power she was capable of, and now....
...now, Mouseclaw was hungry.
"Why?" The chocolate she-cat scoffed, her intense glare burning into the remains of the deceased warrior, speaking to her as if she was still alive. In StarClan, she might hear her words. "...Simple. You, my little obstacle, have helped me grow, allowed me to realize what power rests in my paws."
