Lilacbreeze did not want to return to camp, not like this.
She did not want her son and daughter (daughter especially) to see her in such a weakened state, especially since she had attempted to pump so much pride and determination into their minds and hearts. Ebonystream was particularly strong, with a heart that could only be described as fire, and the queen felt that her coal-colored daughter would be...disappointed. Was it not the job of the mother to feel ashamed to her children, not the other way around? Either way, Lilacbreeze's daughter was the way she was, and darn it, she had grown proud of the work she had accomplished. Ebonystream was molded into just what the senior warrior had wanted, even if she was a little...edgy. And shady. And...aggressive.
The lilac point's breathing was growing shallow. It would not be much longer now, she was certain of it. The elderly molly had expected to perish in the fight, she intended to fight to the death, even if it was against the code...no, she wasn't ashamed of losing to StarClan's calls, they had been nagging at her for moons now. No, she was upset that she failed to maim her opponent. Lilacbreeze was only happy that they couldn't see the other guy, because that ThunderClan deputy looked a lot better than the DarkClan warrior did.
((psa: she's dying))
