【 Thunder ` Clan | Warriors` Den | Present | Lizard ` Gaze | OPEN ROLE-PLAY STARTER! 】
Lizard ` Gaze was curled up in the back of the den with his eyes closed and ears standing erect as he listened to the faint chatter of the cats out and about in the clans campgrounds. The toms back rose and fell in a rare moment of peace as he took the few moments of slumber alone before being interrupted by a group of warriors returning from a hunting patrol or something alike it.
He flexed his paws against the soft moss nest beneath his paws for extra comfort as his thin tail gave an occasional flick as his eyes peaked open briefly. He shifted his head a bit as he stared out towards the entrance as small crackles of sunlight shined through the small speckles the small spaces between the thick canopy leaves. It was tempting to move closer towards the entrance to sunbath under the light of the sun while it was still radiating warmth through through the canopy but he shook the thought away.
He closed his eyes and curled up into a tighter ball as his tail wrapped around him as he nestled his head into his stomach and continued to listen to the chirps of the bird above the canopy. The beautiful chirps and calls given by the feathered creatures helped him to relax the best he could although it couldn't completely erase the hidden feeling of anxiety deep within the feline.
It often kept him awake as it was doing currently and at times would have a fair bit of difficulty falling asleep, which wasn't fun especially if he had to get up for a patrol nest sunrise. He could feel his nose beginning to twitch as he caught scent of something strangely familiar causing him to unroll from his ball and sit up with his lemon-yellow eyes open and alert for a moment. He clenched the nest tightly with his paws as his tail twitched filled with nerves as the scent grew closer. He stared at the entrance to the den with an alert gaze.
