Lynxstar, thinking long and hard on his choice, leapt up onto the High Rock. Young Lilacpaw had just barely began to grow out of her kit fluff, apprenticing her to Vixenleap would only spell trouble for Lilacpaw and for Vixenleap. But Crowheart, as kind as he was, he was a newly made warrior and in all honesty, he simply didn't trust him with such a task. So, dreading what might come of this, he called for his clan and looked down towards the young molly. "Lilacpaw, the time has come for you to be assigned to your mentor. It was a difficult decision, seeing as our two Fire elementals both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I am confident this decision is the correct one.He paused to let his words wash over the young cat before he inwardly sighed. Here goes nothing... "Vixenleap, you are ready for an apprentice. ThunderClan recognizes your bravery and loyalty, and I know you will pass on all you know to young Lilacpaw," he finished. simonwho 20mia08

The young she-cat spoke quietly to her sisters, while being thoroughly groomed by them. Ears perking as her leader called for them, she proudly made her way towards him, striped tail high. After sitting, she looked up at Lynxstar; the apprentice waited.
And suddenly, she regretted being excited about this ceremony. Vixenleap, the one cat Lilacpaw never interacted with, but deeply disliked. Behind her, her sisters hissed and whispered. Lilacpaw finally sighed, glancing back at her sisters and smiling before standing and making her way towards her mentor. Surely Crowheart, albeit a newly made warrior, would have been a better choice for her?
Though, she didn't complain; she'd probably learn more from Vixenleap. That is, if she wasn't killed by her first.

The red warrior visibly recoiled in disgust when she was declared the mentor of another female, and she was sure to send Lynxstar a seething glare to remind him that he'd quickly regret his choice. It was a fact known clan-wide: Vixenleap was especially soft towards toms, but towards mollies...she was exceptionally aggressive and explosive. Indeed, she'd learned to conquer her uncontrollable temper around some of her fellow warriors, but there was always that odd cat, or that off day. One little word could set the warrior off. Her movements were stiff and hackles raised as she approached the apprentice, as if she was already prepared to pummel the little feline into the dirt. As she leaned down to greet her new apprentice, it was evident that the warrior was trying to hold back her fiery temper that could possibly cost the apprentice her young life. "Choose your words wisely, or they could be your last." Vixenleap whispered the hot words into the apprentice's ear so that only she could hear. While it may have sounded like a threat, it was more of a warning- it wasn't like the warrior automatically came with a label. simonwho Blaze
