- When can we finally breathe? -
Crowthroat padded up to the night rocks, his tail signalling for his apprentice to follow. He'd been on night hunting patrols the past few days in a row, so he was back to his up-all-night schedule. It would be good for Daisypaw to adapt to this lifestyle as well, should she choose to dedicate her time to hunting instead of patrolling. Life here was a lot different than ShadowClan. He knew that well and could help with her transition.
For now they should focus on elemental control. He didn't know how much training she had gotten on it, but he didn't want to see the calico molly suffer from consumption. That was something no one should ever experience.
The rocks glowed a vibrant violet colour in the moonlight, showing all the training and accomplisments mentors and apprentices have achieved in the last four seasons since DarkClan's creation. He and Daisypaw's would soon be there.
"Feel free to sit, little one." He meowed. word count, notes, n stuff

Cold but I’m not dead, carrying all these fears on wings of lead #### Daisypaw was still sleepy.
She hadn't been up this late in a long time. Crowthroat had advised her to sleep during the day but the molly couldn't find the exhaustion to be able to do that. Maybe she should have done something tiring before trying. Either way, being nocturnal was a foreign concept to her. She knew some warriors chose to live their lives like that in DarkClan. The sunlight was nice and warm, why would they give that up?
Looking up at the stars, maybe she understood. Being under Silverpelt all the time would be a good reason to live this way. It was beautiful, after all. The stars were bright tonight. She turned her attention to the glowing violet rocks. This was the first time she had seen them at night. It was pretty. DarkClan found beautiful ways to express themselves. Even their standing stone at Five Stones was beautifully decorated. Or at least, it was before the beam of light had cleansed the area.
She turned her attention to Crowthroat as he spoke and nodded, sitting down. Coursed between the cracks, burn my bones to ivory black

- When can we finally breathe? -
Crowthroat nodded when the she-cat sat down. "We'll be working on elemental control tonight." He said, flicking his tail.
He stood up and used Copycat to summon a copy of himself and nodded to the molly. "You may be already aware of this, but we Dark Elementals have both an advantage, and disadvantage in the dark." He meowed. "Our element becomes stronger in the darkness, having more shadows to pull energy from. However,"
Crowthroat flicked his tail towards his copy as it grew larger and unstable. "It becomes more difficult to control." He said as he slashed his claws across the neck of the copy, scattering the shadows until they no longer remained.
"We've been making slow progress on summoning your copy. With the night upon us, it will be easier to manifest the energy to summon it. However, with your inexperience it will be incredibly difficult to control." He warned. "You need to concentrate on keeping it still. Once we've mastered this, we can work on learning how to make it mimic your movements in battle."
The tom sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "Whenever you're ready, you may summon your copy. Do you remember how to do so?" 203

Cold but I’m not dead, carrying all these fears on wings of lead #### The calico apprentice nodded as Crowthroat began to spoke. Elemental Control was something she'd been struggling with ever since she began her apprenticeship, so finally having the chance to work on it was a relief.
She watched as he summoned a copy and listened to his explination on the increase of power at night. Seeing Crowthroat's copy start to break off from his control was scary. Was it intentional? Would she even be able to control her own? Would it attack her?
The thought sent chills down her spine. He warned it would be very difficult to control. She was afraid, but she'd have to be able to do this sooner than later, right?
Daisypaw nodded when he asked if she remembered how to summon the copy. She focused on the shadows around her, building them up until they took a feline shape. It was mentally draining, however it was already better than her last attempts at summoning.
Soon, she made a copy of herself, however it wasn't convincing. It was close enough for this exercise, right? It hurt her head.
Focus on keeping it still. She remembered as it started twitching. The molly focused all her energy on keeping it in one place. The copy started to move towards her and she panicked, quickly jumping away as shadows formed around her paws.
"C-Crowthroat!" She whimpered. Coursed between the cracks, burn my bones to ivory black

- When can we finally breathe? -
Crowthroat nodded as the smaller feline started to summon her copy. Her technique was rough and unpolished, but it was worth noting that she was improving at fully manifesting a copy.
The summoning and the finished product needed much more work, but a working copy was the only thing needed for the exercise they were working on tonight. It was already starting to break free of Daisypaw's control, and that was concerning.
He could tell the moment the she-cat had lost control and quickly cut down the copy with his claws before it could get any closer to his apprentice.
The black-and-white tom looked to Daisypaw, seeing the shadows around her paws. "If you don't get those under control, that will quickly turn into consumption." He said, flicking his tail.
"Breathe, Daisypaw. Push them away." 135

Cold but I’m not dead, carrying all these fears on wings of lead #### She crouched as she watched Crowthroat lunge forward to kill the copy, watching the shadows scatter across the clearing. She fluffed up her coat and pinned her ears back until any trace of it was gone.
Daisypaw looked up at the larger tom, slowly nodding as he spoke of the shadows forming at her paws. She was familiar with the burn that came with consumption. The calico didn't want to experience that again.
She listened to his words and took deep breaths, focusing on pushing them down and back around the rocks and bushes.
Soon, she managed to push the shadows back and avoid a run in with consumption. A sigh of relief fell over the molly, then she looked up at Crowthroat. "I'm tired." She said.
A headache nagged at the molly. Coursed between the cracks, burn my bones to ivory black

- When can we finally breathe? -
Crowthroat sighed when Daisypaw was able to push the shadows away. Perhaps it was too soon to try and work on control at night. They'd have to work on control in the daylight first, then they could try and tame this beast again.
He nodded as she spoke, acknowledging that it would likely be exhausting to try to control a copy at night, then push back a potential brush with consumption. "Alright." He nodded.
The tom looked up at the sky. "We can head back to camp and work on this another time, okay?" He said.
He started walking back and flicked his tail for the she-cat to follow. word count, notes, n stuff
