*Brief Description: A shaggy black and grey tom, with light green eyes. He usually looks unkempt.
In-depth Description:Flintjaw’s a big boy, but it’s hard to tell with his ragged coat. The fur around his paws is notably shorter than everywhere else, having rather clearly been burnt short on a regular interval - even if that wasn’t his intention. He’s mostly black, but not this silky and lustrous ebony - he’s more like old and dusty charcoal. Even the fur around his neck, which is a lighter hue, looks more like ash than a noble silver.

Personality description: Flintjaw is impatient in the simplest terms. This impatience has led to most of his character flaws, but some of his boons. He is rather independent, opting not to sit and wait around for situations to be handled - especially when he could be doing something. It makes him seem industrious, really just because he’s not growling.
Loyalty is another feature of his, but even this one somewhat stems from a selfish background. His best chance to live and flourish is with his clan - they’ve put up with him for his whole life so far - so they deserve his support, and to see him at his best - come hell or high water.
Flintjaw has this idea in his head that his days are numbered, which doesn’t mean he thinks he’s dying, but rather that everyone is dying. To him, situations need to be resolved quickly, which makes him short-tempered. A stalled situation is almost painful for him, if he feels like nothing is being accomplished he’ll take some sort of action. It’s important to note, however, is that this doesn’t count towards ‘boring’ situations, as something is still being accomplished - just at a slower pace.
This bleeds into his short-sighted nature. To him; he needs progress, even if it proves to inhibit himself in the future. This mostly shows in diplomatic situations. He sees no point for bending and bowing to and fro for the good graces of someone who (to him) lacks pragmatism. It’s not worth everyone’s time.
For all of this, he is proud of himself. This doesn’t manifest as bragging, or strutting, no intentional preening or posturing. However, if he has felt he’s proven himself in one field, and this is belittled or dismissed, it will immediately earn his ire - or worse. When slighted, he holds a grudge, and it isn’t going anywhere.
His pride and his competitive nature do not go hand-in-hand however. He always strives to do his best, and to out-perform the competition, but it isn’t the end-all-be-all. If he is genuinely bested, he might be a little sore, but it isn’t held against the individual. It’s motivation to improve, and he understands too well that seeing his betters gives him a more cognizant benchmark to aim for.
