Ravenstar shook her head. "I can't give them up...where would they go?" She looked at him. "I can't give them to RiverClan, they've proven these last few moons not to be trusted!" The molly growled. "And with ShadowClan constantly on the brink of war with ThunderClan?" Ravenstar asked. "We already know ThunderClan would never take in my kits, and there's no telling WindClan will have their wolf problem under control." She said.
She looked at her paws. "This is the only place where they'll be safe."

Spiderface stood firm though his heart ached to see Ravenstar so distraught. ”Wherever they go will be in the paws of StarClan but they cannot stay here,” he said, unyielding. ”This is meant to be a haven for Dark Elementals, if we allow them to stay then it will only be so long until someone gives birth to Fire Elementals or Water Elementals and then this Clan won’t be the one you created for us. It’ll be like the other Four and there’s no doubt someone will try to use that to their advantage. They need to go as soon as they’re able.”

Ravenstar felt a lump in her throat as she struggled to accept his words. She rose to her paws and flicked her tail. She hated that he was right, but she couldn't give up her kits, she couldn't let another Clan raise them. "If that's everything, I believe the border patrol has returned." She cleared her throat. "May I leave now?" Ravenstar asked bitterly.

Spiderface met her gaze cooly as he stood. He nods. ”You’ll need to move into the nursery in a moon. They’ll be due in two. That will be all.” he says, turning away. ”I would suggest selecting a deputy before then.”

Ravenstar shook her head as he reminded her about needing to select a deputy. "Tawnylight will return home safely, and until then, Crowthroat will remain as acting deputy." She said as she walked away. "I am not giving up on those who've gone missing." She growled.
