The molly shuffled her paws awkwardly, trying to find the right words. "I...I need a huge favour of you if you're willing." She started, looking at the tom. "I already know how you feel, and I understand that this is so much to ask of someone." She said.[break][break]

"I..." Ravenstar looked away. What would he think of her? How could she even tell him? What would she say? How much could she say without giving up her relationship with Stormstar? "Crowthroat, I'm expecting kits, and the father is...unwilling to take up responsibility." She said. "Out of respect for his wishes, I won't name him, however, I'd still like for them to have a father." Ravenstar said.[break][break]

"I know what it's like to grow up with a father who resents you. I want them to have a loving father, but they aren't yours, so I know it's a lot to ask." She frowned. Ravenstar flicked her ear. "If you're willing...I'd love for you to step in." She looked at him. "But if you don't want to, I accept your wishes as well. Especially considering your own feelings in the matter."

[attr="class","textieno"]The molly didn't flinch at Crowthroat's reaction to the entire situation. If she were in his paws, she'd likely ask the same questions. She'd probably feel the same way as him. She wished she could tell him, truly she did, however, her love for Stormstar was too important. She couldn't make it known that she'd been seeing the WindClan tom in secret the past few moons. Only StarClan knew how Crowthroat would react to her betrayal to the code, to her Clan. The Clan that she risked everything to build.[break][break]

She could offer him no comfort in the situation. Ravenstar had to be patient with him. She was dealing with a cat who was emotionally distressed. She could only answer his questions, however dishonest she had to be to cover her tracks. It killed her to lie to her closest companion in DarkClan, but this was just how fate made it be.[break][break]

"You're not just a second choice, Crowthroat." She started. "He was special to me in so many ways that I cannot explain. I loved him, truly, I did." Ravenstar said.[break][break]

The molly shook her head. "If I knew this was how things would have played out, I wouldn't have allowed myself to get wrapped up in this mess. I wouldn't have given him a single thought, but I did, and it was my mistake." She lied.[break][break]

Ravenstar flicked an ear. "I understand if you need time to think on this decision, and I understand if you refuse." She said. "If you want to end our friendship, I accept your decision as well." She frowned. "You were always good to me, Crowthroat. I hope you know how much I appreciate your loyalty."
