Trekking across a valley wasn't in the job description.

Masuki followed the directions that they had been given to try and find what they were told was "ShadowClan Camp". They had crossed some sort of scent border along the way, leading their curiosity to believe that their information may be outdated. He only dispatched four of them. No one else was sent their way, so what in the maker's name did they cross earlier?

They were thankful that they were finally out of the swamp, their paws still covered in mud from the sopping wet terrain. Who the hell would want to live in there? At least I don't have Wildfire's assignment. They thought to themselves, remembering how Viper had returned to their camp soaked.

They seem to have found themselves in a forest now, the pine trees reaching up as high as they eye could see, their tops reaching for the sky. Masuki hummed to themselves, noting how similar it was to the central turf of their old city.

Masuki spun around and unsheathed their claws as they heard something. They could feel something watching them. They raised their hackles, ready for a fight.

"Show yourself!"
