Lynxstar sat before the two apprentices with a critical eye, gaze impassive as his tail tapped idly against the ground. The pair were... interesting to say the least, though, though he was proud of the warriors the two had grown up to be. Now, all that was left to do was assess them. Shouldn’t be too hard, he thought to himself, not at all prepared to eat his words later.
”Normally, the two of you would start off by hunting and then showing off your abilities, but since the prey has... yet to return,” he starts through gritted teeth, ”You will be showing off your abilities solely instead. You may begin when you are ready.”
Fogpaw could hardly contain himself, evident enough in his nonstop stub movement. He’d been waiting all his life for this, and now it was finally here!!!!! He nodded vigorously at Lynxstar’s words, turning to Acornpaw with a beaming smile. ”You ready?” he whispered loudly.
