It seemed like his friends had scarcely been given a chance to reply when a familiar shape came blustering in. Sunheart's ears perked up as he saw the Thunderclan leader. Oh, that was wonderful! Perhaps he wasn't so sick after all, he must be feeling better! That was wonderful news! His amber eyes sparkled happily, and the tom's tail waggled slightly in the air as he chirruped happily.
The Shadowclan medicine cat was about to trot over to express his pleasure at seeing the other doing so well, when he flinched back instead as the other all but seemed to spit fire, which was rather impressive for a fellow earth elemental. For a moment, Sunheart looked like a kicked puppy, ears wilting as he huddled his head back towards his body, as if trying to make himself look as small as possible. (Rather difficult, given his size, but points for effort.)
Then the words registered, and his gaze snapped back towards his own leader, and the tom looked considerably less pitiful as he realized that the sudden anger was not towards himself. The tom dropped his haunches to the ground, head snapping back and forth between the two cats as he watched the verbal spar.
Darkness began to emanate from Duskstar, and Sunheart's eyes widened in the excitement of the moment.
His excitedly sparkling gaze snapped back to Lynxstar as the other summoned a pillar in retaliation, and Sunheart, feeling quite safe among his fellow medicine cats, only watched with interest at the unfurling events. Ooooo, Starclan wouldn't like it if they started really fighting.
But, perhaps thankfully, they did not, and soon it was time for them to go.
Sunheart pouted.
"Aw! We didn't even get to talk!"
He perked up only moments later, darting to the two she-cats of the group, reaching out to rub his head against them with a purr if they allowed, if not, standing before them with his tail waving in never-ending optimism.
"I hope you two feel better, but I'll make sure to come extra early next half-moon so we can talk if you need! I don't mind waiting if you don't want to talk, but if you do, I'll make sure to be there! That's what friends are for!"
He looked back over to Spiderface, chirruping a happy goodbye.
"You gotta tell me next time about how everything's going! A clan of just dark elementals, it's so exciting!"
He then turned to Sagewhisker, goodbye just as cheerful, no matter the circumstances.
"Well, good to see you in any case! I hope everything goes alright, and if Lynxstar really is sick, I wish you all the power of Starclan to wrestle him back into his nest, because he certainly didn't seem to be listening to that advice tonight if he so! Good luck with everything, I hope the growth patrols go well!"
He turned then to run after his clan, tail high and enthusiastic bounce most certainly not befitting of the circumstances.
"See you guys next half-moon!"
