Rosebounce
Cheerful laughter filled the forest, screaming to every piece of prey ‘Hey! I’m here!’ but the young red she-cat could not care any less. Like birds in flight, the paws of the rose coloured warrior appeared to float over the dark grasses underneath the tall pines. Safety wasn’t on her mind, nor was hunting the little creatures anymore. After screeching “Squirrel!”, Rosebounce left in a sprint after the critter. The reason? It was bright red, just like her. And she wanted to see it closer, maybe even eat it, but the instant it climbed up a pine, her goal changed: from chasing down potential fresh-kill to trying to see how fast she can run, and then to just having fun.
Many minutes flown by until the she-cat eventually tired. Gasping, she remained standing, her head looking at the ground underneath her, yet her tail still twitched with the excitement of running. Green eyes suddenly darted upwards, her gaze glancing in every single direction. Of course she lost the patrol, why wouldn’t she? She giggled under her breath, knowing in how much trouble she probably is, but it didn’t matter. What did matter was that she had fun and the scolding will be well worth because of it.
The warrior turned around and started walking back, the dark green grass and warm breeze signalling that Newleaf had finally come in full force and she couldn’t wait to see what it had in store. Bareleaf was hard but now everything would be better than ever, Rosebounce simply knew it! She felt it!
