Another full moon meant another Gathering.
Ravenstar lead her patrol carefully along the edge of the new ravine, noting that the edge of it ended just where the DarkClan crossing to Five Stones began. "Be careful as you prepare to cross. We don't need anyone falling in there and breaking their necks." She warned.
Carefully, the coal-coloured molly stepped around the cracking in the earth near the edge of the ravine, leaping onto the first crossing stone. As she made her way to the island, she looked back to make sure her whole patrol was still there.
Upom arrival, the molly took her place on DarkClan's announcement rock, wrapping her tail around her paws. She flicked her ear impatiently, wanting this gathering to be over with quickly. She didn't want to leave poor Magpiekit alone too long.
She didn't want to have to stick around with RiverClan very long either. Not after their close loss over the Splash Cove hunting grounds.
((We rolled the results for the DC RC border skirmish as the threads have gone long inactive. It was a close battle, however RiverClan emerged victorious.))

For once in his life, the smoked leader moved briskly and with purpose in every long-legged stride. His ears, slowly growing more battered by the moons, sat high up on his head as he remained alert for what rested ahead of him- and also, what lay behind him. Safely resting in Stormstar's nest in the leader's den was one piece of his pride and joy: Bumblekit, his son. He ensured that the resident queen watched over him with keen eyes while WindClan migrated to Five Stones for their monthly meeting. Part of his heart longed for him to return to the sleepy confines of his den, where it had been truly "home" since the arrival of his beloved son. But the other part of his heart... "Mind your step," the selfless leader reminded the WindClanners behind him in a lightly ehearing tone as they reached the edge of their territory. Before him stretched the water that embraced Five Stones, and there... His heart fluttered at the thought of her. The indecisiveness in the feline made its return, causing Stormstar to linger by the water's edge. Should he go first, or should he walk across last to ensure that nobody slipped in? He'd already done this several times without an issue thus far, and so the leader hesitated once more before gingerly stepping across the stones, the wind whisking underneath his paws with each stride to promise that he got across water-free. When on solid land, Stormstar could hold back his dopy puppiness no longer. He had to see her- he simply had to. It'd felt like moons since... He cast a final glance towards WindClan to get a head count. Good- all had made it across. Without a moment longer, he raced into the crowd of gathered DarkClanners without an ounce of fear in his entire form. DarkClan was his family now, even if it was in secrecy. He respected them, and he wanted WindClan to do the same. Boiled down to it all, they were all just cats, cats with peculiar gifts. It seemed that the other clans hadn't made it yet, only WindClan and DarkClan. Weaving through the dark-coated cats, he finally came across her- his queen, the wind beneath his wings, the life in his every step- Ravenstar. Every time, he struggled to compose himself in her presence, merely because he felt like a nerdy, love-struck apprentice every time. "R-Ravenstar." He blurted out in a forced, almost breathless fashion. He could hold it back no longer. It had been far, far too long. There was so many things he wished to ask her- how had she been? Was Magpiekit fitting in well- did DarkClan love him as much as Stormstar did? Had he grown? Was Ravenstar doing well? Were the wildflowers still well in the darkness of DarkClan, and were the stars as bright as they were the time before? Did- She was hurt!!! Stormstar wanted to explode, wished to immediately right these wrongs and smite whoever laid a paw on Ravenstar. "You're hurt." He couldn't resist- his concern for his mate was too powerful. The salt-and-pepper leader cleared his throat, trying to compose himself when his knees wanted to shake and stomach twist itself. "...Is everything alright in DarkClan? N-No problem with wolves? Your warriors look...er, injured. We WindClan cats are n-naturally compassionate and concerned, so, uh...not that it's our business, of course! Heh, uhm...yeah, ya'll are alrigh though, right"Trying to swallow both his worries for Ravenstar and rage for whomever had harmed her...it was difficult. Fortunately, it at least owned up to his stumbling and awkwardly reputation. Thorne

I found a way
And so the morning came and swept the night away As I was looking for a way to disappear Amongst the quiet things And all these empty streets I found a way, I found a way to reappear
+ short note + more if u need | The black molly guided her patrol towards Five Stones, carefully placing one paw in front of the other as she began to cross the fallen log that bridged the island to the mainland. Nightstar looked forward to hear the news from ThunderClan and DarkClan this moon. What bold accusations would one leader throw at the other?
Lynxstar made for a suitable jester every full moon.
The reccuring fued over the missing warriors had the ShadowClan leader's interest piqued. Who held the hostages? Why has it gone on for as long as it has?
So many questions, and always so little time.
Another point for discussion was the arrival of Masuki. Would she announce the foreigner's arrival to the valley? Was it worth it? The housing of the elementless feline could spark more problems between them and ThunderClan.
But, then again, what was another petty fight between Lynxstar and herself? They were always so fun.
Leaping off the log, Nightstar flicked her tail to dismiss the patrol, allowing her cats to mingle between the DarkClan and WindClan warriors.
She cleared her throat as she approached the two present leaders, Ravenstar and Stormstar, not caring for whatever they had been discussing. They shared no borders, their discussions wouldn't be too important, right?
"Good evening," She meowed. "I trust all is well?" She asked, her eyes catching the healing wounds on Ravenstar's body. Interesting.

Spiderface walked along the crossing stones with a jaded sort of grace achieved through countless moons worth of Gatherings. This one was no different - it meant someone would inevitably make a fool of themselves the Valley would be chatting about it until the next Gathering came and went. Such a cycle was one he sort of looked forward to. It meant chastising Sagewhisker on his imbecile of a leader and seeing that poor fool Stormstar look more like a kit than a full grown cat.
Speaking of Stormstar... a peculiar tom he was. He’d only just sat down where the medicine cats usually did, only to feel a breeze against his fur when he noticed the WindClan leader run past, leaping up to the WindClan Stone and making conversion with Ravenstar. He was aware WindClan had a mostly neutral position on DarkClan, so he supposed it wouldn’t be odd for such things. But he seemed... oddly concerned with Ravenstar’s wounds. He quirks an eyebrow, looking up at the two, only tearing his eyes away when ShadowClan arrives.

Ravenstar flicked her ear as the arrival of WindClan sparked her attention. Seeing Stormstar made her heart flutter, kneading the stone below her for a moment. He quickly reacted to her injuries, and she gave him a careful glance. "We had a bit of a territorial dispute with RiverClan, nothing major. My warriors and I are recovering well. No need for your concern." She meowed, trying to keep any attention away from his initial reaction. Drawing suspicion around Spiderface was the last thing she needed right now. "I'm sure you know all too well how that can be. Problematic cats, aren't they? That's what happens when they don't keep the same leader." She huffed, giving him a smile. "How are things on that side of the Valley? Any good news I could get an early scoop of?"She dipped her head when Nightstar joined the discussion, greeting the black molly. "Good evening, Nightstar. A pleasure, as always."Ravenstar looked around as the three Clans were mingling amongst themselves. "Lynxstar and Bumblepelt seem to be taking their time. We're wasting moonlight." She grumbled. 20mia08 fern

- When the sunlight hits the dust -
Finchpaw followed his mentor as they guided him to Five Stones. It was his first official trip to a gathering! The tom bounced along until they reached the stepping stones. He watched his mentor and their paw placements, then quickly copied them, making his way across without getting his paws wet.
He settled next to his mentor, unsure where to sit. He watched as WindClan arrived, then ShadowClan soon after. He peered curiously, trying to pick out cats his age to talk to. word count, notes, n stuff

((I didn’t forget about this shush))
Lynxstar had decided to take his sweet time arriving to the gathering on this night. Sure, they could start without him but from the looks of it, there were only three other clans present. Not too crowded and not too empty. The stones he created to pass into Five Stones made a path across the water, his clan mates trotting across fairly quickly before he returns the earth to where it belonged. He’d been in a good mood since his kits were born, maybe he’d gotten big headed but there was little that could ruin it now.
He walks through the crowd with his head held high, leaping onto his stone as he looked over the sea of cats. It seemed Ravenstar was looking worse for wear, maybe she finally got what was coming to her. No, that’d be too optimistic of him. Whatever happened to her, he seemed to relish in it, yet he wastes no words towards her or the other Clan Leaders. He makes himself comfortable, sitting with the poise of a respectable leader. Of which he is not.

Ashendust slowly trotted into the clearing, being fashionably late to her first gathering as a warrior wasn't exactly good presentation but she didn't exactly care, so she just slipped into the crowd, trying to find an area to sit where it was quieter, eventually when she found a spot, she layed down and watched the cats in the clearing.
She sighed, her ears twitching irritably. "Just get this over with." She mumbled under her breath.

- I'm falling to pieces -
Leading RiverClan to the Gathering wasn't how Willowbranch was planning to spend her night, but it seemed StarClan had other plans in mind for her. She was riddled with nerves, her pelt feeling like a thousand tiny ants were crawling around each strand of fur. She would try her best to hide her nerves, not wanting to make their situation seem worse than it was. Bumblepelt needed to rest, and Willowbranch was next in line to guide RiverClan temporarily.
Upon crossing to the island, she dipped her head in respect to the other leaders. "M-My apologies for the delay. I hope w-we didn't make you wait too long." She meowed, pushing up some of the earth at the base of RiverClan's stone to help her climb onto the pillar. "Bumblepelt is not feeling well this moon, th-though there is no reason for concern. I ensure h-he will have a swift recovery." She said.
"I'd like to begin the gathering with some g-grim news. One of our senior warriors, Streamflower, was murdered around the start of this moon." She began, flicking her tail anxiously. "W-We found her body in one of the streams. Any Elemental remants and scent of her killer had already been washed away when one of our patrols found her."
"Some of our warriors had reason to believe either WindClan or DarkClan were responsible, however, StarClan has assured me both parties are innocent in these dealings." Willowbranch dipped her head to the respective leaders. She hoped she'd assured them that there would be no hostilities between them and RiverClan over the unsolved crime. "With that in mind, w-we suspect this was done by an outsider. RiverClan advises her sister Clans to be cautious until we can find the killer." She meowed.
The she-cat shuffled her paws for a moment before continuing. "In other news, and more heartwarming, R-RiverClan welcomes three new kittens this moon. Sandwhisker has mothered three healthy kits, Morningkit, Webkit, and Coalkit." She purred.
"W-We also have reason to believe we have welcomed a new Element to RiverClan, and to the Valley." She looked around to observe the reactions of the general population, then to the leaders. "Morningkit sports an unusual talent t-to emit her own light from certain parts of her body. I hypothesize that she hosts the Element of Light, and that StarClan has blessed the Valley with their gifts once more."
Willowbranch was uncertain if announcing their discovery was the right move, but they couldn't keep that secret forever.
"Prey is plentiful in our territory, a-and the fish have returned to the rivers and streams. I-I'd like to remind DarkClan's warriors to keep to their side of the river. R-RiverClan has no other news to share."
A sigh of relief escaped her jaws, glad that her announcements were over with. word count, notes, n stuff

I found a way
And so the morning came and swept the night away As I was looking for a way to disappear Amongst the quiet things And all these empty streets I found a way, I found a way to reappear
+ tagged + tagged + short note + more if u need | Nightstar watched curiously as Willowbranch lead RiverClan to Five Stones, unattended by Bumblepelt. Had an election been called, and the naive young Representative disposed of?
Her unspoken question had soon been answered by the undersized Medicine Cat, nodding as she announced the tom was unwell. "Our best wishes go out to Bumblepelt and we shall pray for his swift recovery." She wrapped her tail around her paws.
RiverClan's convoluted politics were something Nightstar was never interested in, personally believing they had their heads too far up their own rears. How could RiverClan expect to be stable when it's very leadership changed every season? She'd never understand their system, and couldn't care less if the very foundation of their Clan crumbled under these ideals.
Under normal circumstances, the feline wouldn't put much attention to RiverClan's announcements, seeing how they no longer shared a border. The news of murder, however...
Now that was a topic she was interested in.
The RiverClan Medicine Cat quickly tried to dismiss the idea that DarkClan or WindClan were responsible, but even mentioning it had ensured the damage was already done. Rumours and accusations would certainly spread across the territories, and attention being pulled away from ShadowClan after Sunwing and Quietstorm's stunt was just what they needed.
When Willowbranch mentioned the idea of an outsider being responsible, her hackles rose slightly. The outsider that Sparkflower brought to camp not too long ago, could they have been responsible? Masuki was an enigma as far as she could tell, but could they have murdered the RiverClan warrior?
Nightstar would hold her tongue on the topic for now, allowing the molly to continue.
Another interesting topic caught her attention. Two for two, she thought. Willowbranch should speak for RiverClan more often.
The possibility of a new element being upon them in the Valley was monumental. Generations had come and gone since the last discovery, this was truly something to be celebrated.
News of prey was boring, as usual, however she was amused that Willowbranch had the nerve to call out DarkClan on potential trespassing. The pair must've had an eventful moon.
"It is very unfortunate to hear of Streamflower's murder. May she find good hunting in StarClan." She dipped her head. "And I must congratulate RiverClan on it's latest discovery. A new element is truly a blessing from StarClan indeed." Nightstar wouldn't press for more information, leaving her favourite leader the opportunity to do so. She knew damn well Lynxstar would have much more to say. He'd be much more entertaining to listen to.
"ShadowClan begins it's announcements with our promotions this moon. Please welcome our newest warrior, Ashendust, as well as our new apprentices Emberpaw and Sootpaw, mentored by Silentsmoke and Sparkflower respectively." Nightstar flicked her tail, nodding to each cat in the crowd.
Would she mention Masuki this moon?
Perhaps it would be best to keep them her little secret for now, as to not stir trouble with RiverClan, or StarClan forbid, ThunderClan, again.
"Prey is running well, and none of our warriors were injured in the Great Rumbling that happened earlier this moon. We have no other news to share."

"I wish you and all of your clanmates a s-speedy recovery." How his heart yearned for her, how Stormstar wished he could be there to soothe Ravenstar's wounds, to comfort her in the recovery process... to be there for their other son...but he had to keep it brief. The last thing the black smoke wanted was to draw attention to both himself and his secret lover. "Yes, unfortunately, my clan is all-too-familiar with RiverClan and their need for violence." The awkward tom huffed quietly, before glancing back at his gathering WindClanners.
"...We lost yet another deputy. B-But we're dealing with the wolf problem, at long last. The tunnels have improved our safety." He had glanced down at his paws for some time. If he stared into her eyes for too long, Stormstar feared that he'd fall visibly head-over-heels for her all over again. For the fiftieth time in the recent moon. How his legs felt weak, how his heart fluttered...he was starstruck.
Nightstar, perhaps, saved him from humiliation. "G-Greetings, Nightstar." The stream-lined tom had greeted her as the shadowy feline passed, but nonetheless grew uncomfortable underneath a scrutinizing gaze. Stormstar lifted his eyes to find Lynxstar staring his way, and felt his heart drop. He promptly broke off eye contact with the intimidating tom, fearing for the safety of himself, his kits, his clan, and his mate.
Stormstar fell silent as the Gathering began. Nightstar's report didn't seem particularly alarming, but what RiverClan's medicine cat had to say- light? And she announced the appearance of a new element so casually? Maybe it was something to rejoice over, but the WindClan leader found himself to be outright alarmed. It wasn't every day that new elements cropped up- what was StarClan trying to say? And light...light was the opposite of dark-
What could happen to DarkClan? To Ravenstar? ...to any future kits they might have who could potentially be dark elements?
Stormstar remained silent, for fear clouded his mind. He'd let Lynxstar go first- he was sure the tyrant had something to say. They all knew that Lynxstar loved change.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]Keeping their conversation brief was the best course of action, despite having so many questions for her beloved Stormstar. How was Bumblekit doing? Was he happy? Had he started to show signs of Elemental Control? How was his little personality shaping out to be? She wanted to tell him all about Magpiekit, how he was frightened by the dark, his little nightmares, how much he reminded her of him. Each day he grew to resemble his father more and more, filling part of the hole in her heart, despite knowing he would be ripped away from her by StarClan's cruel plans. She could curse their name countless times over for their false support of her movement. If they truly believed in what she was doing, why lead her down a path of forbidden love after ensuring her responsibility to her Clan was far too much to simply leave behind? Why purge her trusted Deputy and innocent warriors from the Valley and demand that she stop her search for them? Why give her only sons an Element she would never be able to see them grow up with?[break][break]
Her faith in StarClan was wearing thin with each passing moon, though she would never speak of it to others. She had her own battles to fight, and her warriors did not need to be dragged down this path. This destiny was her own; She would shelter them from StarClan's problems with her. To hell with what Oak- and Leaf- thought of her actions. This life was her own, and she would live it without the need of anyone else's approval.[break][break]
Her attention turned to Lynxstar as he arrived, her displeasure visible on her face. "Do us all a favour and die already." Was something that was overwhelmingly tempting to say to the ThunderClan leader, but Ravenstar held her tongue. The older tom looked worse each passing moon, though perhaps it was all in her imagination. The sooner she was rid of him, the sooner her warriors could know equality. She was pulled from her thoughts when Willowbranch took her place on RiverClan's stone, her head tilting to the side slightly. Bumblepelt has conveniently fallen ill right before the gathering, hm? Coward.[break][break]
Murder in RiverClan? Now that was a story. Her hackles rose when Willowbranch mentioned RiverClan's suspicions that DarkClan was responsible. Her warriors had better things to do this moon, why on earth would they choose to kill a random Senior Warrior? With their border skirmish and the new ravine, their paws were full. StarClan assured you that we were innocent, eh? She lashed her tail for a moment, clearly unimpressed by the Medicine Cat's tale. The mention of the possibility of an outsider being responsible struck her attention. The only outsider she had heard of passing through the Valley recently was...[break][break]
She cast a quick glance at Stormstar as Primrose entered her thoughts. She knew he was trying to help the young molly drive off her consumption and control her element, but what if she had lost control? No one was safe if the darkness had a choking grip on any cat, Clan-trained or not.[break][break]
The news of a new element was more alarming to Ravenstar than any murderous cat on the loose in the Valley. Light? Good grief, if StarClan was trying to send her a message, they were certainly just as irritating as the morning bird songs after a long day. If they wanted to be rid of her, they shouldn't have given her nine lives. She couldn't ignore the threat the new element posed to her Clan. Most elements had their natural counter: Fire had Water, Earth had Air -- that's why her element existed. Fire and Water couldn't mix, creating the "abomination" that her element was to the "natural order". Words from ThunderClan's elders still stung, and now that Light had been gifted to the Valley, what did that mean for Dark? If Lynxstar could get his paws on this element, he could weaponize it against DarkClan. New elements were an immense risk to any Clans having any sort of feud, no cat knew it's true potential yet. What could they do to her warriors if given the chance to fight?[break][break]
Hoping to quickly move past the subject, Ravenstar spoke once Nightstar had finished her announcements. Perhaps Lynxstar's age would lead him to forget about Willowbranch's announcement. "Prey runs well in the tundra this moon. DarkClan welcomes a new kit to our ranks, Magpiekit. Unfortunately, he carries the Element of Air, and thus, my warriors and I are not suited to mentor him once he is of apprentice age. I would like to ask WindClan if they have the kindness and generosity to take him in once he is 6 moons old, considering they are the founding Clan for the Element. I pray you have no objections to this, Stormstar?" She asked. Wildrose Newleaf was here. Wildrose felt the plants’ ambitious growth tingle in her paws as she walked along the grass, scanning the edges for every bit of life she could see. She had had the (admittedly boring) job of surveying the excavations of the tunnels, alongside with her fellow Earth elements, so she never got that much of a chance to see the thawing mud, the feel the fresh breeze, and smell the subtle scent of growth.
It was like every other Newleaf, and like the past, it was her favourite season out of all of them. Although the stones felt cold and dead beneath the deputy’s claws as she crossed, following her leader, nothing could stop the fascinating buzz of excitement that made her fur look puffier than usual. It was simply hard to be in a bad mood when change was so close to home!
After both her and Stormstar looked over their warriors and apprentices to make sure all were safe, she lingered for a few heartbeats behind him. Was this not her first Gathering as WindClan’s deputy? It’s quite well-known that WindClan hasn’t had the… best of luck with their deputies, and it seemed StarClan themselves were never quite happy with who were chosen before as wolves had attacked relentlessly. It was quite saddening to think about it - so many young, capable cats lost to the same cause.
Even though Wildrose had gone and studied as much as she could about the wolves, asked the elders what they know, and tried to remember as much about them as possible, there was still a tiny ball of fear swelling in her throat.
There wasn’t enough time for any of this, there were just so many new things to learn! And if StarClan thought she were better joining them, she would do so gladly. Quickly trying to catch up with Stormstar, she was able to catch the tail-end of their conversation briefly before ShadowClan walked in. She politely nodded to Nightstar and the other two deputies in tow, before sitting down and waiting.
It felt a little… awkward not to say anything, but Wildrose was able to fill in the gap by listening in on the Leaders. Then, ThunderClan appeared, followed quickly by RiverClan. Surprisingly, their “leader” was nowhere to be seen, instead, the Clan was led by Willowbranch, their medicine cat.
RiverClan started first, talking about a murder. A senior warrior being killed was nothing to scoff at, regardless of Clan. And on top of that, possibly being an outsider… Admittedly, she hadn’t paid much attention to Primrose before, but what if…?
There was little time to dwell on that thought until Willowbranch continued. “Of course StarClan said we murdered no one!” she hissed. That thought alone was maddening. The Clan who has lost countless lives, trying to kill another’s warrior? Her tail slashed at the air, but she made no move. At least they didn’t suspect them anymore…
But there was more. There was a- What? “A Light element?” she whispered? Her upset still lingered, but now she wondered if this was maybe a sign? Discovering a brand new element was… threatening but just so, well. So interesting! A change for sure, like Newleaf.
The other leaders had their own announcements, but nothing as exciting. Wildrose wondered if she would ever face the new element in battle? Will they blind her? Will they somehow walk through the light similar to DarkClanners in the shadows?
Speaking of whom, Ravenstar had asked Stormstar to take in a Kit whenever they are apprenticed because they aren’t a Dark element. There’s no reason for them to say no, that’s true, but should they? Would it be safe with so many wolves still prowling around?
Notes:- Fun fact!
- Excuse
- "Smile and wave."

Although he was engrossed in his thoughts, his ears angled in the direction of his mate as she spoke to report the status of DarkClan. How could he not be engaged in Ravenstar's announcement? He could finally hear about his other son, Magpiekit, and see how the kitten was doing. Did he have his mother's eyes, now that they were open? Did he love it in DarkClan? Had he begun to show any signs of his element?
While perhaps Bumblekit strongly resembled his father, Stormstar saw more and more of Ravenstar in his son every day. How brave he was, so eager to defend his clan and be the best warrior they'd ever seen...just as powerful and confident as their mother, the molly he loved more than the sun and the moon. Could Bumblekit be any more perfect?
Though he quietly enjoyed the peaceful reverie that had begun to form in his mind, hearing his mate's words was a gut-punch. He nearly felt like falling over but remained glued to his stone perch in a frozen state. Ravenstar was...going to give him up? Did...did she not love Magpiekit? Did she not love Stormstar? Had he done something wrong? "I-" The WindClan leader tried to muster up the courage to speak, but he was at a loss for words. Wouldn't Ravenstar be lonely without him? Was this really what was best for their son, who had grown up knowing nothing but his mother and nothing of his father, separated far away by both boundaries and code? Stormstar wanted to excuse himself so badly. But he was on the hot seat, and all eyes were on him.
The awkward smoke tried to find his strength. ...but it was so hard to come by when his heart felt like it had been ripped out of his chest.
"The code states that no warrior may neglect a kit in need...W-WindClan will be honored to take on this kit, Ravenstar. We are grateful that DarkClan is willing to entrust us with something as meaningful as the future of one of its kits." He could only hope and pray that Ravenstar intended to take him back. Air element or not, Magpiekit was her son. Stormstar could never imagine giving up Bumblekit...but being that Magpiekit's safety was paramount, he could understand Ravenstar. Somewhat.
It was his turn. Happy thoughts- Bumblekit...think of Bumblekit. "...StarClan has shown WindClan mercy. Our prey is running well, and our borders are as secure as ever." That comment, of course, was directed at RiverClan. Dare they try to impede on WindClan's boundaries again, especially now that Stormstar had his own son to look out for...he would not be so merciful. "O-Our previous wolf problem has been...uhm, remedied. We have implemented a tunneling system, and things are looking up. B-But progress required sacrifices...we lost NPCface, our previous deputy. Wildrose has since taken their place."
He decided to not mention the incident Primrose reported- for now, at least. "WindClan has also welcomed several new kits: Brook-kit, Mothkit, Kestrelkit, Creekkit, Brackenkit, and my own son, Bumblekit. W-We're grateful to have Fallowbird as an experienced queen to care for them all." There was a glow of pride in his eyes when he mentioned the name of his son. "Furthermore, we have two new warriors: Eveningdove and Mossleap."
That was all he had. Stormstar sat back down on his rock, self-consciously wrapping his tail around his paws.
